Dungeon Forge began as a test project to see if I could create a grid-based building system like that found in the Sims. However, the more the project was being worked on, the more I got invested and the more time I put into it. Eventually, the game grew into something that I saw potential in, and it became more than just a "test project".
The game began development in March of 2024 and was created using the Unity Game Engine, with models created using MagicaVoxel and Blender. Textures were created using MagicaVoxel and Gimp.
This is only a portion of a full game. I wanted to release the building system separately to get feedback. So when giving your feedback, make sure to keep in mind that this is only a portion of a full game and give feedback only on the building system itself.
