Hi everyone

I am looking for some feedback on a game I'm currently developing

It's a quick-to-play hack'n'slash, with a similar concept to vampire survivors and games like Binding of Isaac.

Here's a link to the game

It's fast to start playing, when you load it up you'll be able to fight enemies almost straight away. Enter a room and enter the Spawn Zone in the center of the room. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes to get a general feel of it

Where it's at

I've spent most of the time working on the combat and the gameplay systems. There is not much in the way of a tutorial, but the basic gist is that you'll run around a dungeon and kill increasingly stronger enemies while earning rewards and purchasing upgrades as you complete each room.

You can enter a room and see what enemies will spawn, as well as modifiers that greatly increase their power, you can remove whichever you like by walking over them and pressing 'E' or keep them in the room and earn more rewards. I hope to expand the game-flow to incorporate more rooms and general strategy to this, but I want to make the game feel nice to play first.

As I mentioned, there is not much in terms of tutorials. I've written the controls and general how-to on the project page. But I hope to get any feedback that people want to give if they spend some time playing.

Oh and most if not all of the art are placeholders, I'm a programmer not an artist

Short term goals for the game

I want to create a fun combat system with lots of modular but interconnected parts. With the right system in place I will create lots of unique rewards the player can choose from which can have interesting synergies with each other.

For instance as a proof of concept right now, you can find a reward that fires a projectile from your character every second. You can buy +1 projectile/+1 pierce/projectile size upgrades to increase the overall strength, as well as stack the reward to double this effect. You can then pick up a reward that adds burning damage to projectiles, which increases your damage in a major way.

I'm hoping to add a lot more of these soon!

Finally

Thank you! I appreciate anyone who takes the time to check it out.

I'm publishing updates every few days. Always looking for feedback as time goes on :) Thanks all!
