I am stuck in the Junkyard. I can't buy anything I need for Simon and have died 15 times in a row, and have to start a new game it seems. Why can't we buy new skills earlier in game? As I can't seem to do more damage than like 25. Currently stuck with the Amalgamation. Anyone know where I can get Skills at early in game?

Have you tried working at the library on the computer?

You can literally increase your wealth to buy things by doing so before purchasing what you need at the shops in town.
