You didn't mention what OS you're using, but you could try the .NET 6.0.25 desktop runtime. You can find it easily enough at dotnet.microsoft.com. 8.0, at least for me, didn't work.

my OS is windows 10 22H2 , i install .NET 8.0 didn't work.

Then try .NET 6.025 desktop runtime , work.

Idk why 8.0 not work, but 6.025 work.
