Hello!

I've never posted my devlogs to this board before, so this will be an interesting experience!

I've partnered with iggethepizza (BG artist for Enkindle) and Jotsuke Music (VGM composer) to make a visual novel for the 1-Bit Jam!

I spent a lot of time practicing 1-bit in preparation for this jam! I've been very eager to see what we'll make, I can't wait to get started!

Since the theme has just been announced, I don't have much to advertise. I do know that this game will have a more serious story than what I've published so far.

There might be a lion in it, too! 🦁

The scary rule thingies say I have to include screenshots in my post... so, here's really simple screenshots after getting all the placeholder stuff set up!

Hello again!

Today, I have more visual things to share!

I overhauled the most important UI to better suit the pixel aesthetic. I don't know for sure if I'll be keeping everything, but the game looks waaaaay more like how it's supposed to!

I worked a bit on the story, and finally think I've figured out how I want it to begin and end... but I need to work more on the actual content that moves the story forward.

I also got a lot done on the character. I can confirm, he is for certain a lion! I decided to call him Ellis! I think it's a nice name for him.

I think the design suits his personality, while also still being cute!

My plan for tomorrow is to focus on writing, since that's the weakest part of the game, so far. I'll also be drawing expressions for Ellis, which will be a lot of fun!
