keyboard input  stopped working a few days ago - have to use mouse

I spoke too soon.  It's wierd.  My usual browser is Firefox. This where the keyboard doesn't work - at first.  Leaving that tab open, I open Dordle on Edge.  The keyboard works there.  AND NOW it works in Firefox too !!  Go figure ...
