Whenever I open my past save in the newest version, I get a loading error "img/pictures/CG_16_3_Sperm_0.png". I checked the pictures folder and didn't see the "CG_16_3_Sperm_0.png" file. 

Try making a a copy of CG_16_3_Sperm_1.png and renaming said copy CG_16_3_Sperm_0.png as a workaround until there is a hotfix.
