I'm having an issue where the Heresphere player needs frequent restarts, multiple times an hour, because after a while it stops playing files off the external HDD (windows-smb). 

A restart of the Quest 2 gets it playing external HDD files only to repeat the process all over again. 

No problems at all with files in internal storage. 

Everything in the UI appears the same as on the previous video, and only the name changes (as nothing plays or screen stays stuck on the previous video).

Found a weird workaround. 

It was in detailed list mode, but clicking the icon for thumbnail/icon mode and clicking on a video file from there gets it working again. 

Getting back to the detail list mode then starts working again. 

Wanted to do IT in college, than God I didn't end up doing it - would have gone mad having to deal with these idiosyncrasies everyday. 

Then again, u/heresphere, looks like you're well on your way to being set for life from just this one project!
