Hello, I can't seem to progress in the story anymore. I'm currently following the Guide and I think I'm supposed to be at the Between Worlds part. But whenever I go to the Dark Swamp, I get attacked by the Lizards and then I get stepped on by the red lizard's foot and then the game over dialogue occurs. It tells me to start a new game which is frustrating since I don't know what I did wrong, is there a solution to this? Thank you.
I have never run into this problem.
Normally: The weather swings and Eyvind returns to the tavern. Then a cutscene with Harkan and Witer should play about some weird rogue lizard. Then you go into the dark swarm and beat the red lizard in combat. Then return to the taverns barn and watch the cutscene between Eavind and Roushk.
I encountered this and the game tells me to go to the Dark Swamp, but instead of a battle initiating, I see an normal lizard, then my character gets pinned by numerous lizards and then says he's going to be serving their leader. I really don't want to make a new save since I've already finished the Underground Castle Dungeon and I really do not want to go through that again.
I think if may have to replay this Scene yb myself to get any idea what causing this.
By any Chance:
a) Do you play on PC? If not, it may be a bug
b) What is your Corruption Level? Some Encounters play out diffently if your corruption is high enough.
c) Do you wear Murphy's Hand?
d) Is there any message that you failed a stats check of something?
