Hello, Majalis. If you read this, I want to share my opinion on the vector of development you took. Mostly those will be my thoughts, but also something I discussed with other people more than once.
First of all, the amount of scenes becomes just overwhelming. By scenes I mean both arts and scenarios. I see people thinking the first location is the whole of game. So, there's a crucial need for some kind of in-game guide to scenes, with arts and choices for example. I mean, the first feeling I have after seeing you added characters' reactions to the particular item is terror of having to check 45 characters to see it.
Secondly, the start for newbies is just rough. There're multiple reasons for that
• one of the simplest ones: there's no indication you have to farm Achievements. Nothing hints you they're important, while they are very important. 90% of people will be losing every fight after the first location until they get to know bonuses exist;
• there are hundreds of skills, but you don't use more then half of them, while half of what's left you use sporadically. So there's a big frustration to what you really should use. I remember I had to Google search to figure out moves I still keep using for half a year now. And nothing changed here since 2018, I suppose, it's like a big box of toys, but they're all dolls, and you look for cars (or it's opposite idk).
• there're little hints to your initial directions. You can easily miss quests in first town because you didn't check everything out. You don't know you have to buy armor. Something popping up in quest log for example and saying “how about visiting both cities shops and looking up the assortment” or “have you already heard about mount Xiuh ruler” will be really nice. Right now you can easily go somewhere unprepared and suffer, and drop it.
Third point, not that important, but I think you should consider connecting all battle skills for sex with respective perks (Mouth Maniac, Perfect Bottom, Top etc.). It's logical, because they will be awarded basically for having sex in battle. It also doesn't hurt balance anyhow, those skills don't have practical use for battle outcomes. Currently you have to waste skill points on them.
Fourth, I kinda mentioned already. Quest log. It doesn't do much in current state. Could at least show characters' affection for you because you literally have to count it manually currently. Could also show hints for completion of existing quests. “Majora's Mask” twenty years ago had the notebook that counted characters met and was pointing that you can do something with them. ToA could benefit from it as much.
It's good to see characters getting animated and having more unique scenarios, but honestly, it takes a lot of effort to figure out what you should do to find them. And sometimes internet is the only thing that you can count on to help you make a breakthrough and not quit out of boredom.
Also it would be neat to add the dick and hole customizable states and more checks for them. Their state doesn't really affect gameplay anyhow right now.
