Hey Fabian!

First of all I really liked the feel and vibe of the game. Although sometimes the looks got in the way of the gameplay. An Example is that when doing the first maze it can be really hard to see the character from time to time because of the lighting effects. I also like the "Directed" camera. It's a little bit INSIDE and a little bit more cinematic but the same thing here, I had trouble with it at a few places. The biggest issue was after the bridge and the collapsed stairway, the camera did not show me where to go and made it really hard to do the jump correctly. The platforms could enforce the path even more I think in some places, just to get that nice flow for the player cuz it's not supposed to be super meat boy.

Also as mentioned in another post, I had to replay the boat ride like 5 times, so you should really put in a checkpoint after each of the obstacles. It get's really tiresome doing it all over again even though it's atmospheric and all :) Here's my run.

1st: Didn't know what the light did, got murdered. (maybe add a flying creature flying passed the light, getting slaughtered?)
2nd: Realized the light came from another direction so the first attempt was hiding behind those same boxes on the far side. (I would actually place them in the middle of the boat so this is "step 2")
3rd: didn't even notice the table as a possible hideout so just freaked out when the light was top down.
4th: Passed all the obstacles but failed jumping off the boat cuz I didn't use the boxes to get more height.
5th: Yeah.. same thing really but I jumped from the top platform of the boat, and failed.
6th: Made it! ;)

Also, I was waiting (and hoping) to see something big and dark pass under the boat, just to add tension. I thought.. ooooh here it comes :) Would have been really cool because the scale in the scenes are really great.

Awesome work with everything! Looking forward to see more of what you do!

Hey there,

thanks for taking the time to give such detailed feedback and suggestions! You make some good points and some of that feedback I also received from other players (see other threads here), so it's very valid and true that some areas could be much improved, especially the boat ride.

I'm considering adressing some of these issues  in a small update soon, so feedback like yours is extremely valuable!

Thanks again!
