Looking to get some feedback for my project

Hello!

Would love to get some feedback on this little project I've been working on, I'd like to know what people like / dislike.  The game is pretty difficult in the second half, but possible. Only 3 of my friends have managed to finish it so far...

Here is the game:

If you did take the time to play the game, thank you! You could help me out even more by answering some of these questions:

Could you finish the game? If yes, how long did it take?

Is the game too difficult?

What is your favourite part of the game?

What is your least favourite part of the game?

If you could add one thing to the game, what would it be?

Do any of the game mechanics feel particularly bad / good?

Did you encounter any bugs?

Thanks for your time!

Hey there! On first glance your game page looks really neat and intriguing.
1. No :/, but then again, I'm not good at platformers.

2. It started out well, the mechanics are well explained, but that tight corner with the spikes was a little unfair haha. The platforms are also well spaced, so I think the second part as you said is a little tricky.

3. I really like your color palette and the art. Todi looks intriguing. Also, nice animations.

4. As stated before, level design could use some work.

5. One thing I'd add is a little bit of background art that give a little bit of exposition about the world (coz world-building adds a lot of character to your game). Also, adding a different sprite for the downward part of the jump would be a nice touch.

6. The game mechanics are well done.

7. No bugs as far as I played.

All in all, quite an interesting looking game. Would like a more accessible design for noobs like me :P. Have a nice day!

Some really good feedback here, thanks for the time taken to reply and for your compliments. Will be working on this feedback for the next version :)

Hi there, first of all very nice visuals and sound. Good job!

1) no.. it seemed too long (but i'm not really a gamer)

2)it seemed ok for me even if i played for a few minutes

3)ambient in general is very well done! I felt like I was in a alien like maya

4)for my taste it was a bit slow pace. but i guess that's the point with exploration games

5)I would like to have a weapon and some enemies.

6)all good

7) no bugs

I did really like it. Will play it again and let you know if i manage to finish it!

Bests,

M

Hi osh.studio i played a bit more this evening and i could not finish the game.

I find a bit too many "traps" (like spikes or jumps right after the screen change) to be a bit annoying. No skill but only have already played the game will save you from these. Better ones are like the second jump (you clearly see the jump and have to time it right)

Bests,

M

Thanks for going back and playing some more, appreciate your time, and the feedback!

Could you finish the game? If yes, how long did it take?

I finished it, most of the time spent was over the 2 spikes jump

Is the game too difficult?

Needs balancing

What is your favourite part of the game?

The part with the hidden tunnel

What is your least favourite part of the game?

The jump over the 2 spikes is pain

If you could add one thing to the game, what would it be?

Navigate menu with arrow keys and vfx for checkpoints

Do any of the game mechanics feel particularly bad / good?

Movement feels too aggressive, spikes hitbox and size needs to be smaller

Did you encounter any bugs?
Didn't find any

Thank you so much for taking time to reply, I'll be using this feedback for my next version - stay tuned :)

NICE GAME...
