Some updates and devlogs not showing up in Feeds

Three days ago a developer I follow published an update, but neither the upload of the new files nor the devlog he published along with it showed up in my feed; I only noticed the update by looking through my mail, where there was the email notification. Past updates by the same developer showed up in my feed “correctly”, by the way.

The developer in question is “WOTB”, the game is “Tennis Ace” and the devlog is “Version 0.50 - Public Release”.

I think it may be a bug of some sort, the email even tagged it as a “Major Release” (like the past ones) so I don’t see why it shouldn’t show up in the feed.

[Edit: according to a post from phibbean, it was a problem with their publishing settings]

Same thing happened with the update by “phibbean” of “In Case of Emergency” titled “v0.2 (06/30/21)”. (Shown in the e-mail notifications but not in my feed)

Why do some updates and devlogs not show up in the “my feed” section in particular?

So apparently not only they don’t appear in my feed, neither in the “everything” nor “devlogs” part, despite them being on the respective game pages and email notifications, they don’t seem to appear on the global feed either.

I’m sure that this update doesn’t, I scrolled aaaaaall the way to the release time in the devlog global feed and it just wasn’t there.

According to phibbean, the author of the second update, they got an influx of followers recently (I imagine rather than shortly after that update).

They also said that they had this update in their drafts and then made it public, and that they have no idea what else could cause the updates not showing up in feeds, so maybe this was the cause.

It would be interesting to hear from other authors of updates that also behaved this way to see if there’s some similarities; please share if you notice other updates/devlogs behaving like this.

The hat cannot seem to find the devlog for its most recent update...

This makes the hat sad.

One author said that for him it was a problem with his publishing settings, maybe try that?
