Playing around with Plugins

Hey everyone,
I just thought I'd show you some of my results when working with my time sensitive shadows. The plugin I'm concentrating on is exhydra's basic shadows.

It works great for the dungeons with lamps and such but I wanted to try an active Sun event. Tinting is easy and I've done it in my first game but I wanted something more this time. Shadows are an important story point as well. Research about these types of plugins with MV stops while waiting for a technical update, 5 years ago. Maybe I'm missing something, i dunno.

So I've got a basic framework setup but after looking at the character shadows compared to those on the tileset I knew the difference would stand out. Doodads don't get shadows as well.

So I tried to turn all my buildings into events but the results are somewhat poor, as you can see. I'm going to have to back out on some of these shadows unless there's a better plugin out there somewhere.

I might just roll with it and edit out the angled shadows on my tileset and let the buildings lay flat, It might be the best I can do.

I've also been learning smartjump from yanfly. Its easy and useful for my grappling hook move. Buying that yanfly pack really opened of a lot of possibilities for my game. Lots of fun!

Cheers all!
