I really like the characters in the game, with his role and that simple art style. 

My favourite characters are:

-the Queen (with the best design in the game, for me)

-The thieve (nice interactions)

 -And the witch (it's not too much, but I like that she becomes a hero for finishing with the goblins).

Also, the fact that you cant lose makes it much calm to play and let you enjoy more of these little things.
