A couple weeks ago, I had a week-long sale where people could "Pay What You Want" for both of my "Premium" games. 

I had hoped to generate a little bit of money and get people to check out the games and talk about them.

I made ~$10 and even though the games were downloaded a TON (5k+ times) - hardly anyone said anything about them at all.
