Hi, my name's Fred Wood. I live in San Antonio TX and make video games. Right now I'm at home practicing some social distancing to try and do my part (no matter how small it may be) to stop the spread of Covid-19. I know that folks don't always have spare change, and I know most folks aren't used to being stuck at home for quite so long.
For the next couple of days I'm putting two games that I spent years working on for sale for the low low price of absolutely nothing. LOVE and kuso are two (in my opinion and some others') excellent platforming games with phenomenal soundtracks. They both have dedicated speedrun modes and the games have a dedicated speedrun community. While we're all stuck working from home for a while (well, I always am), why not pick up a couple of small games that you can learn to run.
We've got a Discord full of great folks who have been running the games for a while now and I'm sure they'd love to give you tips on how to do it even better and faster. So come hang out.
We're going to beat this disease by practicing social distancing, learning how to do what we do in ways we haven't done it before, and by saving our money for the things that are really important, like food and rent. So save a few bucks on entertainment and have some fun.
And maybe go yell at me on Twitter.
