Being as rude as people are is far more toxic. There is a civil way to disagree with someone you are a fan of. Being insulting and showing you don't care at all for the person putting in the work but only the product they pump out is not it.

I congratulate you on being the only person who has asked Carbdis to remove the AI music kindly. Well done.

Ironically, you're the one being a petulant asshole and relying purely on ad hominem instead of explaining what you find flawed about my argument, and yet you bring up your age. It's very sad that someone who must be at least over 40 acts like a middle schooler. Unless you want to make an actual point instead of just hurling insults, then you're the one who needs to stop "speaking".

Boycotting never works on companies of that size because you would have to get nearly everyone using the product to agree to stop. That will never happen. Instead, that attitude only serves to hurt the people who used the product for smaller gains, most likely without meaning any harm. People like Caribdis. This is a problem that needs to be solved through legislation. If people want it solved, they need to go bother their government about it, not paint a bunch of small devs and such using it as some sort of villains. That's like blaming people who own phones for the slavery used to mine lithium instead of the company making the phones or the company mining the lithium or the government/s allowing them to do it!

I am an artist myself, so yes, I understand that concern. However, this game is small enough that I really don't think that impact will matter. No big corporation is going to use AI instead of going to the artists because a porn VN did so. That's even less the case if this is indeed a temporary measure until something else can be worked out, which seems likely. It's a huge overreaction for people to permanently turn their back on the project because of it, and some people here are certainly acting like they will.

People care way too much about AI stuff. It's only bad if it's hurting artists, and if Caribdis can't afford to pay someone for the music, then no artists are being harmed because they wouldn't get paid anyway! Stop just automatically hating on anything AI and actually think about how it is being used people
