The story here is not an original work. It is taken directly from masamune-kun no revenge with some "re-imagining" throughout. The VN is well done but just keep in mind the developer is making money from and being praised for somebody else's intellectual property.

It's a fun story with a sharp sense of humor. Great technical skills are put on display here, coupled with some very good story-telling techniques. The characters are all consistent and believable and the few plot holes are easily overlooked (An adult government agent working undercover while having sexual relations with a minor... would definitely be frowned upon). The author was a bit heavy-handed and preachy in regard to same-sex relationship themes and tended to wield the "small-town, traditional, conservative bigots" trope like a war mace, but otherwise, the story is solid and extremely thought-provoking. Almost certainly Daz. In the scene where the MC visits his father, Sea's computer displays a Daz UI interface with an unrendered version of the scene loaded. Fun little "breaking the fourth wall" easter egg.

So far, it's a cute spin on the manga "Masamune-Kun No Revenge" and its anime adaption. I'm only about 30 minutes into the reading and seeing a lot of inspiration and themes from the manga.
