Thank you so much! The question is, how much of her wish comes from arrogance, and how much from the most primal fear?

I deliberately left it ambiguous whether or not the Dark Gods are even capable of granting that wish. The most important part though is whether or not she believes they will.

Very nice! The Battle Brothers have been cemented across the lore as a menace to both humanity and the wider galaxy, but here they are humbled. When all you are trained to do is fight, you tend to feel useless against a force you can't kill.

Thank you! I wanted to show that even the most powerful of Havoc's chosen can still have a human side.

I never thought I'd see THAT kind of impossibility brought up in a story from a wargame setting. You really caught me off guard. Nice job!

Maybe this is out of left field, but it's like the Dragon Scroll in Kung Fu Panda. There is no secret ingredient- and for the Saurians, that must be terrifying. Perhaps it's time to learn to live with uncertainty?

The idea of whether or not a machine can truly replicate or "receive" human consciousness has been debated for a while, but you gave the sense of existential dread that characterizes such stories with just a few words at the end. Or am I missing out on something? Either way, well done!

There are some stories that gnaw at your heart slowly, giving you a sense of sorrow that lingers. This isn't one of them. This is an unyielding blast of existential dread and apocalyptic finality. To think that you can make us feel this bad for Daemons of Havoc. I'll be dreaming about this for a long time. Well done.

This is a sci fi masterpiece, regardless of what setting it fits into. Only one character with no explanation other than a feeling of emptiness, with no one to face but her inner self.  It feels very personal, in the sense that it's something that is relevant to every individual's existence- the human condition itself. This truly is the Grimdark experience.

Thank you so much!  Being brave is not about having no fears, its about facing them.
