Oh it uses = for both assignment and comparisons? Interesting, didn't know that. In any case it sounds like you've got it sorted out, glad to hear that! And good luck on the fixed version!

I really enjoyed your game, I do hope you continue yours as well! Thanks for the Papermancer shoutout 🥰

Oh no it said "after voting period" but I just finished playing!

Crap...

Well I really enjoyed it and the visuals were very cool! I did find 1 bug however:

I started messing with the pad lock (going in & out of it and changing the numbers) and at some point I seem to have become half the intended height (my camera height was about at waist height). It wouldn't let me use the stairs after that!

Still it didn't take away from how cool the experience was just wanted to let you know about it. Also really liked that you put some scenery outside the bar too so it wasn't just empty, really set the atmosphere!

That was really cool, I enjoyed how this concept played out. Definitely tried to go too far at the very start and then realized, oh, maybe get yourself out first? lol

Also, is it just my imagination or did I see a weeping angel in there? ;)

Thank you very much! We are planning to continue this post-jam!

I'll try yours out next, hopefully I can sneak it in after the one I'm on right now!

Thank you! Haha! Honestly, that makes me happy to hear as that's pretty much exactly what we were aiming for!

That was unique, this is the first game show I've played during the jam!

The transition from the main menu to the game and back out again was very smooth too, nicely done!

Hi Everyone,

Wow, what a wild ~10 days! I sort of can't believe it. This was my first game jam (same for 2 others in our group of 4). I doubt I'll be around before the jam ends tomorrow and if I am it is unlikely I'll post much, maybe try another game or two if I can squeeze it in in time!

Just wanted to say that I'm seriously glad this was my first game jam. It may have set the bar too high honestly, not sure. I met so many cool people, and bookmarked so many cool games I want to come back to (you better continue those projects... please 🙏)!

Typically I'm extremely introverted so posting something like this (or even responding to comments on our own game) takes a lot out of me... embarrassing as that is. I just wanted to thank my team for really pulling through for us (even with 2 days notice, sry about that) and equally thank the community at large for being so cool and fun to do this jam with! No matter how it turns out. What an awesome shared experience and I wish you all luck in the final ratings!

Sincerely, & good night,

Zivraye Starr

The knight characters are really cool!

As for the wall jump, it's a neat idea, but in practice I ended up just spamming jump to go straight up the same wall without ever leaving the wall or being in any danger of falling. A bit of an impulse away from the wall while "wall riding" could really help address that.

The jump for traversing platforms felt pretty slick, I did enjoy being speedy and jumping across platforms! That was fun!

I love endless mode type games, Horde/Firefight type stuff!

It'd be sick to see some sort of build up where you introduce the different abilities 1 at a time! Really just pointing that out because I really liked all the abilities in general (I didn't figure out the bone did tho). Grouping them all up and using the "E"! ability was my favorite to just lay out a bunch at once! Hah! Very neat!

Great setup for a story! Also, just a friendly heads up, I would include 1 or 2 screenshots of the game on the itch page. This may help encourage people to try it!

Short & sweet! A bit more polish; a bit more content, and I think you'll have something potentially very special here!

Was a lot of fun and got super lost in the maze for awhile. Until I hit the "b" key and went 1st person, that was a pretty sick moment! Also the art was very nice as well!

That's a unique use of the theme! Gave me a sort of Frogger + Pac Man vibe and which was honestly pretty cool!

As a side note welcome to game dev 😁

This was fun. It felt like every time I died (which was a lot btw, covered almost an entire spike strip) I felt like I understood why and that it was entirely my own fault. Very nicely done, I enjoyed myself!

Thanks for playing! We're planning to continue it post-jam!

Thank you so much for checking it out & your kind words!

Yeah, we've gotten some great feedback honestly I've been keeping a list! Like you we're planning to continue ours post-jam as well!

Awesome, I've added it to my "Revisit" Collection! I'm definitely excited about, looking forward to the future of the project and good luck!

I like the initiative.

Also, I noticed you can go to the submissions tab and sort by "least rated". Currently, there's over 10 rows (mileage may vary by display size) of games there with less than about 5 ratings. About to take a break myself, but I'll have my team start from there and work their way down the list. I know if it was mine there I'd appreciate it.

That's hilarious that you did the "Dev Notes", very informative. If you're planning on continuing this lmk and I'll follow you as I'd genuinely be interested in seeing where this goes! Also, welcome to Godot & game dev in general!

(and yes the animations were indeed RAD)

The art style of yours looks really cool, I'll go play & rate it for sure!

Here's ours, hope you enjoy:

Thanks for giving it a play!

Woah! The graphics were Unreal! Also wild how a fully lit office can be that creepy. Definitely nailed the atmosphere with this!

Thank you for playing! That is fair feedback, the full version would have a better tutorially to be fair, and more info about the units! I'm off to play yours next actually, see you on the other side! :)

Yeah I really like how much they let you customize it!

Sorry to hear that happened to you, what unfortunate timing!

Sorry to hear your other project fell through, that's never fun to go through.

Also idk what I clicked but I ran into a syntax exception!

It looks like you may have accidentally did "=" instead of "==". I get it though, these things happen under intense time pressure, just wanted to give you a heads up!

Other than that the game was good, very nicely done under time pressure!

Like the very original looking sheep! Cute with great sheep SFX!

Very cute! Gathering the bits and pieces to throw in the stew without being caught was very fun! Nicely done!

Great concept with a really chill atmosphere and effective art!

I noticed you said this was your first game? Honestly pretty impressive given the time limit! Nicely done!

That was an epic experience! There is non other like it!

Also your trailer video had me dying, haha! Thank you for that, loved the high energy!

Thank you for playing & your kind words! I think we'll definitely be continuing the project post-jam (I've got a whole list going at this point of updates, including a full story & potentially multiplayer as well). Hopefully you continue yours too, it was fun (and I'm still thinking about the page you made for it, haha)!

Thanks for playing! And thanks for the feedback, I agree, we'll definitely need to do some balancing later on!

Yes, I did notice that! Very cool honestly, definitely helps with the emersion in my opinion!

Also saw what you put in the pipe near the starting area ;)

I definitely struggled a bit at first, but felt rewarding once I got it.

Also those cards when you fail are a really neat concept, very much liked that and how it ties into the theme purrrfectly!

Yup, as expected, I enjoyed that, played the whole thing and will "be back Monday"! Very cool aesthetic on the page as well. I have yet to see anything like that on here! Nicely done!

Oh! That sounds interesting, I liked Papers, Please! Your screenshots have a sort of Fallout vibe to them, very intriguing. I'll give it a go while you get them gains!!!

This was really fun, I feel like I messed up the possession mechanic a lot. But ignoring my noob status there I still really enjoyed it. Very neat concept and I feel like you nailed the aesthetic for this type of game! Good work!

This is a neat concept. I admit, I jumped when I got caught! Hah!

The swap between the eye/breath mechanic and walking around was super clean btw, nicely done!
