Cute game! Eventually I got to a point where I didn't have to do anything, and the vermins would just get obliterated by the thick orb staffs. The sound design is nice! I would recommend more enemy variety and a home/heart for the player to protect. Otherwise, nice game, I quite like the transitions and text font as well!
Nice game, I was hooked! Very hypnotic. Wish I chose story mode before playing fully, because I was hoping for an ending but just a question.. I would recommend using vector hitboxes for the dart board, as I'd notice that some shots would count/miss just because of the pixel's angle inward. besides this, the art is great. Really nice work, I especially love the music.
Fun game! There was certainly much jank, I was so sad to respawn head fully engulfed in the ceiling after a good run. Balancing the robot is certainly tricky, and definitely so is mastery of the controls! I love the concept.
For future reference, I'd recommend having a persistent retraction of the grappler, as sometimes the grappler would just stop mid-way, and I'd have to readjust multiple times. I'd def recommend smoother sliding on the levels to allow for less stick.
Otherwise, really nice game, the art is really great, nice work!
PS I found it funny when the sign said you had to get the balls back to activate the button after yeeting them to oblivion, but I was a bit confused after realizing I had conveniently tossed one of them on the button. XD
I LOVE games like these!!! This was quite unexpected-honestly, I was hesitant at first, but I felt optimistic, and my wishes came truuue! Full playthough was great, the art is so great! This certainly got out of hand.
I understand there was limited time, but definitely keeping the buttons and text cohesive to the main art would be helpful (including the jumpscare).
Other than that, I'm so glad I kept playing, really nice work.
Nice game! I love the art!! I love how the story is shown too! The controls are a little difficult to get the hang of, but I was able to do pretty well.
For future reference, I would mayyybe make the controls a little easier, and maybe a way to decide when the story should continue (sometimes I wouldn't quite get the chance to fully read the story).
Other than this, this game is super cool, I love the concept, and it's so nicely polished! Well done!
Great game! Love the voice, the animation, it's so well polished, especially for only 72 hours! I must say, it's quite difficult to beat this guy, but it's such a cool game. Love the concept. SFX, art, all. The only thing I'd recommend is to disallow the execute button to be pressed unless a card is chosen, as a couple times I accidentally pressed the execute button instead of a finger. Great work!
Interesting game! The controls are a little difficult, died a couple times, but still managed. The art is cute! I think just a couple things would be to have a little different music, the music was definitely throwing me off, and maybe quicker transitions. Other than this, I nice game, and especially the story!
Yes-I definitely liked your game, and the camera is also great. The Project Landsworth also seems like such a cool game; I see the inspiration. I understand the need for the high frames too for multiple phones etc.
I see how maybe through playtesting your own game enough times, it might seem too easy from practice, and you make it more difficult in turn (which I totally get).
Maybe next time your can try procedural leg animations XD!
Nice work again though, I love fast-paced games.
Thank you for your comment! I'm so glad you enjoyed! I definitely understand your issue points too. I will say though, for the sliding, I intended it to be timed pretty perfectly for the fist smash during half-health, but def not very good for dodging the eye laser.
The Robocop vs Terminator wasn't my inspiration, but after fully designing the boss (especially the neck) it definitely reminded me of the terminator (and Armin's colossal titan from AOT )!
Thanks again for your comment!
Nice game! I love the style of mashing keys to win.
Music was cool, art was cool, I wish there was more to the game though. Maybe a boss or different characters. Also, the AI could do for some more skill, the AI when the lighter character was very weak, and the AI when the darker character was slightly better, but still couldn't handle my mash ability.
Luckily I figured out that IJKL would work for attacks, but sadly no info on this in the description, and there are probably more buttons for attacking.
Other than that I think this game has a lot of potential, and the polish is already decently there. Nice work.
Not bad! I like the animation of the player.
I think a lot of polish could be helpful. Maybe some control over the attacking, and less of a chance to get injured from a pixel of contact. I also think one big thing would be the visuals, being the consistency of the pixel sizing.
I also wanted to add that it's highly unlikely that a player will last 5 minutes of your game, as attention span is very short.
Other than that, the music is nice, and this game certainly has potential!
Nice game! I really like conquering all the levels, and defeating the boss was surprisingly easy. The character faces are pretty silly XD.
The graphics were a bit off, though the gameplay definitely distracted from that. I like how you can 'personalize' your mech from the many options. It became a bit difficult to find the final 1 or 2 objectives at times, but I found them eventually.
For future reference, although the style digs of that retro style 3d gaming, more consistent and cleaner art would be helpful. I also think the music scratched my ears a liiiittle too much, but the style certainly fits.
Other than that, I think this game was quite fun. The shooting was satisfying, and the overall game was very mechy. Nice work.
