Hi, anyone playing on Android is having problems with the audio as well? In my case there's absolutely no sound playing :/

Loved this update! It's a shame we won't be seeing any nsfw content in the main story though.

Clearly. It would be nice if Gigasaddle gave us something though :(

You have to delay taping as long as possible.

I literally check this everyday once or twice hoping the new nsfw update  is already out.

It's all probably wishfull thinking, but I think it's a fun theory to think of :3

It also doesn't kill you in a matter of hours, like it happened with Marco.

But that is the point, I'm not saying Adastra's Earth and Echo's "Earth" are the same planet. What I meant is that Echo and the smoke room events are happening in a whole different planet, but placed in the same universe.

I just came up with a somewhat crazy theory:

POSSIBLE SPOILERS FROM ADASTRA, ECHO AND THE SMOKE ROOM AHEAD

Have you guys noticed how when the main characters in these VNs are in a dark place mentally they tend to “hallucinate” with this insidious voice trying to bring them down further? At first I thought this feature was exclusive from the Echoverse (Echo and The smoke room) in which this voice it’s already been identified as an actual real being that haunts everyone in the town of Echo. However in this build of Khemia Scipio is going through a very similar experience with all these self-destructive thoughts/voices haunting him and yeah, it just kind of reminds me of what the characters in Echo and The smoke room go through.

Now, do you guys remember how at some point in Adastra’s plot they mention this malevolent entity that’s spreading through the universe? I can’t remember how they called, but it’s implied this thing is responsible of many unexplained creepy things and it seems to manifest at random spots all across the universe haunting or cursing these places (like the haunting at the university in Adastra). If you have come up to this point reading you can probably guess what’s coming already, but here’s my theory anyway:

What if the events from Adastra, Khemia, Echo and The smoke room are actually happening in different locations of the same universe? What if the evil entity that haunts Echo is actually explained by one of these random haunted spots that branch from the entity mentioned in Adastra? I think it would be a really cool move from The Echo Project to merge all of their VNs in the same universe through this idea.

It would be nice to know what you think guys, in my opinion it kinda fits too well to be just a coincidence, but I’d really love to know what other readers think of this. Also happy new year everyone <3

And they don't, actually. Adastra is another visual novel from the echo project which is not horror themed and I enjoyed it as much as the other ones. It does have drama and crude moments as well though, kinda their signature in my opinion and I don't think these vns would be half as good without those elements. Just my humble opinion :p

I really don't think so. These narratives are unique in my opinion.

I did not expect this update to have so much content, that was a nice surprise. The story so far is turning out very engaging and I love new Jymsar's sprites. Can't wait for the next update!!

Yes, he is an otter. That is mentioned very early on actually.

Oh well hope is next week then!

when is the next one coming?

Lol yeah, liked better his sprite from Adastra

Really? I didn't get that from FFlynn's route though. In what part is that implied?

Sydney's killer you mean? That gets pretty clear at the end of TJ's route.

What's new? Is it announced anywhere?

I just hope everything makes sense in the end and they don't leave it to the reader's interpretation, I'd hate that.

You should play TJ's route :x

Possibly heavy spoilers ahead!

OMFG I TOTALLY MISSED IT TOO. I love you so much for noticing it!! That to me looks like a wendigo! The name is brought up at some point by Jenna in Echo and it just makes so much sense now. Absolutely loved this detail!!!

This has probably already been reported but i will say it anyway:

Some particularly long dialogs are cut in the end because they don't fit in the square, so there is no way to read that last part. I'm playing the android version.

That's good to know, thanx. Why did you delete your previous comments? I was kind of invested in that conversation.

So is it recomended to play this if you have already played the main game? I'll be honest, I feel kinda hesitant because the character design looks so different from Echo...

Flynn's and Leo's routes spoilers ahead!

I think the story in Flynn's route messes up with time travel and different time lines. This is strongly hinted when the group is trying to leave Echo and they spot Duke near Chase's car all wrecked by the road (that happened in Leo's route). There are other hints but to me that's the most obvious. The phantom train in Leo's route might also have to do with this whole timeline mess.

So while Flynn's route ending was a bit confusing, my guess is one of these two things happened:

- Flynn fell in the hysteria and hallucinated the whole thing about Jenna's past.

- Flynn actually traveled to the past transformed in that red smoke monster, being him the creature Jenna used to see as a child.

Maybe Flynn's? Because at the end of it the message "To be continued" pops out. Can't say for sure though.

O: you are right! I remember thinking that moment in the cafeteria felt kinda odd and irrelevant but it makes sense it was all to hint that TJ was behind it. Thanks, I definitely missed that!

I was left with kind of a big question about TJ's route. I feel like I missed something, hope you guys can answer it.

Who did actually set the whole treasure hunt and why? I don't think it was any of the main group characters. The only thing that kinda makes sense to me is if it was The thing (as I like to call it) the entity behind all the weird stuff happening in the town, but that sounds a bit weird.

Ikr? I did that one first and it left me devastated. It's not about trying to save the characters anymore (since it looks like that won't be happening :_p) but I can't keep myself from wanting to know more.

Is there a good ending? Or at least one that won't make me wish to throw myself from a 1000th floor??? I just finished TJ's route and I feel like sh*t. I don't think I can bring myself to finish the other routes until I confirm there's something close to a good ending.

Loving the game so far! I hope next chapter comes out soon enough ❤️
