Found a game-breaking bug in the first of the three games, in the scene with the army rats if you end up behind one of the lampposts everything stops, you can't move anywhere and you can only fire in the last direction you were facing (or something to the effect, I was facing south when it happened to me.)

Regarding the nazi comparison, that refers to a part of the story that is not actually used in the demo, however because the events do take place in the game, I have to throw it in as a catch-all even for demo content. I'll check the Steam demo as well, that shouldn't be happening at all.

EDIT: Found the Steam demo problem that you mentioned. It was referring to a map number that is not used in the demo. I uploaded a fix and am getting ready to commit the changes, so it will be taken care of within the next 5-10 minutes.

EDIT 2: The Steam demo is now fixed. Thanks for letting me know!

Thanks for the comments. Regarding the point where you gave up, the phrase "northwest on southwest" is supposed to indicate that it's a directions puzzle - if you proceed in the wrong order, you'll keep looping around which is what's happening. I'll PM on Discord with a further explanation and will also update in the final product with indication as to whether or not you did the puzzle correctly.

Also, I'll change the phrase "sub-zero" to something that still states the presence of ice and cold, but which may be a bit more understandable since I do recognize from your comments that there are parts of the world that may not completely understand what -10F means in regard to the weather. On your matter with the dialogue, the "mockery" that you perceive is actually intended to convey that the character in question doesn't speak through normal means which is explained elsewhere in the story. And to close out my explanation, the dragon equipment is simply the highest level of gear that's available at this point in the story.

I'll take all of these comments and improve on them going into the final product. And again, further explanation will be given in a DM on Discord.

I will post a separate request if something like this ever happens again, but for now it's safe to say that I can continue as I originally intended.

Hi, I've been looking for Unreal programmers after the Unity news made using that into an unsustainable risk. I'm on Discord as .ZeroBreak so if you want to communicate there then I would appreciate it.

The request posted here is deleted and cancelled. As the situation with the new Unity cost structure has been satisfactorily resolved, I no longer require the services of programmers in alternative game development engines at this time. However, I do thank you all for your consideration.

I'm sending you a request. I'm short a developer and the one that I do have is not as readily available as I hoped for (although I anticipate this clearing up by November, plus I am going to be taking some game development course work myself).

Hi, I'm short a developer because of unplanned circumstances and would be willing to see what you can do for me. Add me on Discord using .ZeroBreak as the user ID if you are interested!

Hello again, one of my jam team developers is no longer available due to school commitments so I am looking to have one or two replacements for long term project work. Message me here or add me on Discord using .ZeroBreak if you are interested. Thanks!

Hello, everyone. I recently had my voice actor audition for the lead male character in my project dropped because of conflicts and am looking to recast the role. An American accent is preferred for the role in order to maintain continuity with the female role that is already filled. If anyone is interested, drop a message here or send one to me at .ZeroBreak on Discord. Thanks!

If you're still looking for someone (in particular with voice acting for a male NYPD officer) I just had a pending audition canceled by the person whom I originally contacted and as a result I'm in the process of recasting the role. Drop a message or contact me at .ZeroBreak on Discord if this interests you.

Sounds good to me. My Discord is .ZeroBreak if you're interested.

Quick update regarding the project. Barring any objections I have decided to run demonstrations of project work for this entry at https://twitch.tv/zerobreakdesign and will also be running a Discord server at https://discord.gg/dt2A3y5T3m. If any of this interests you, please do not hesitate to connect with me. In addition, my X Social (formerly Twitter) account will also have updates on a regular basis at https://x.com/ZeroBreakDesign.

Again, great job with the sample - I'm going to be in regular contact as the jam approaches. Also, if you'd like to join the team chat on Discord you can add me as .ZeroBreak and I'll send you the invite to join.

Hello, I think that some of your work may fit the style of what I'm looking to do. I'm planning for a project with NYPD officers as the main characters, so I think that if you can adapt the style of music that you've done to an action context (something along the lines of James Bond, Mission Impossible, Beverly Hills Cop, Equalizer etc.) then it would be appreciated. For more direct messaging my Discord ID is .ZeroBreak so feel free to drop a message that way as well.

Do you have any samples that you can provide? I'm looking for either a sci-fi type of soundtrack or something that would fit in with a crime scene response or similar action thriller concept.

Okay, quick update on the original role request as I may have someone else to fill it. However, I have added the role of a  female police dispatch operator who also happens to be a part of the same family as the character who I previously mentioned. If thrat interests you and you're still available, please let me know. My Discord account is . ZeroBreak if you would like to discuss the matter in private.

I went ahead and sent an add request on Discord using the provided information if you are still interested.

Add me as . ZeroBreak

Would you be able to do an NYPD officer type of voice? I have a male role that I have in mind for that.

That's fine, too. I already decided on some of the character models and am working on trying to get them to work in Blender 3D, was going to run them through Mixamo but I couldn't get the conversion to work properly so I am learning how to animate it myself. I think that the results that I have to date from just starting this morning are at least halfway decent, I think I managed to get a basic running animation completed within a few hours of trying different approaches to doing so.

You can add me as .zerobreak if you would like to do that.

I'm going to go with a 3D game for my project, and am planning to provide the character models. Note that I also saw your other post in the other discussion, but since you also posted this separately I decided to follow up on that and post here as well. Also, I have a potential voice actor lined up for the project.

In that case it will be a 3D project, so long as the OP is interested in taking this approach. I can do the bulk of the testing portion and provide the 3D models if that's okay with you.

Quick update on this request. I have a discussion with two Unity developers so I will be using that for the game project. Additionally, I am adding a male role for her brother, as well as a second female role (with normal speaking methods in this case) for her sister, who will serve a supporting role in the project. Both main characters will be law officers serving the NYPD, so being familiar with New York City (and possibly being able to model some of its notable landmarks) is a plus for the game project.

Sounds good to me. Do you have any preference between 2D or 3D?

EDIT: That question is actually for both of you.

Okay, so forget the message - I apparently don't have enough information for that. At any rate, what are you better at - 3D environments and models, or 2D top down or sideways views?

I just copied you with what I have in mind. Feel free to interpret it as you see fit.

I'm looking to form a team that can work with Unity with spots for programmers, artists and voice actors. I do have some specific matters with the design specifics that I want to go with, however. I have decided that for the main character design that I propose for my entry, I will carry over a profile from a project that I recently terminated work on and have a main character who is biologically limited in physical and communicative matters but is accommodated for this as a result of bionic technology and neural implants - in other words, a BCI implementation (as in a brain to computer interfacing system) that is connected to motion and vocalization modules which allow her to function in a more normal manner. This can be represented in either 2D pixel art or 3D modeling. Note that in the case of 3D character design there will be absolutely no lip animation because of the nature of her implants - instead, her dialogue will be computer-generated so any voice acting will have a reverb effect applied to it for the purpose of representing this aspect of her profile. All other characters that I would consider will be of a normal speaking method - only the lead female will be subject to having artificial vocalization.

I decided that this character profile is of a high priority for what I intend to accomplish owing that matters of disability are severely underrepresented in video games (especially with neural and mental disabilities). If that sounds like something that you would be interested in, feel free to message me at jefdvs6@aol.com.

If you're still looking for someone who would like to have voice acting I am looking around for potential takers for a character whose dialogue is given a reverb effect because of the accommodation of her physical and communication limits (with the idea being to have some representation of disability in character design) and which is a characteristic that I want to carry over from a project that I was recently forced to abandon. Message me if you are interested.

Sounds like something I was considering for a now-deleted project that I was recently forced to abandon. If you would be willing to do a character whose dialogue will have a reverb effect added as a result of the accommodation of her physical and communication limits (which is something that I want to carry over from what I was originally going to do for the purpose of disability representation in character design) then let me know either here or by email (jefdvs6@aol.com).

Sounds good to me. I'll send you a message.

So I went ahead and against jam ethics to (hopefully) fix the build, in fact I copied over from the development build and removed stuff not relevant to the demo which should now be available for testing, and which addresses your feedback. Thanks for your patience!

Thanks. I'll look into it.

Thanks for the feedback. The music glitch will be taken care of in the final release, and the reason for the wait is because I was planning to maintain a single package for both release and demo configurations so I didn't have to repackage things twice. With that said, I do plan on adding to the installer so that there is both an activation option and a demo option, which should hopefully address this concern .

EDIT: I'm also going to check the battles when I get a chance to be sure that I didn't miss anything. If you could tell me if this is a general issue or just the bosses it would help out a lot.

I got 25800 as my high score. Try and top it! (Also, great idea!)

Or "Yoshi cooks his ledger file", if you want to build on that.
