I think on the public version of AFCL we have Parker's Day 11, honestly haven't played for months, but at least the AFCL Character's Statistics guide only goes up to Parker's 11.

Certain choices with led you to an scenario like the "go save Gil" thing during Gil's day 11, for example, if you want to get to the train with Samuel without Edgar stopping you, the best thing to do is save the file and load it every time you fail so you can try again. It took me like 17 attempts lmao
You can follow the AFCL guide... but if not, you may have chosen some specific interactions/choices that led to you having only 24, for example, some times you have to choose different choices that make you lose or not gain any points in the moment just so you can gain even more later. Also, if you failed some quick time events or didn't know about the choices that work with a probability (or something like that) you can end up with less points.

I'm not as invested in this VN as others are, so I can't tell you the best order to play the routes in. Every route has its charms and reveals the story in an interesting way. I hope someone else can clear that up for you. I would recommend playing the characters' episodes after you have finished their (in-development) routes, or at least once you have reached their day 6, in my opinion. The chapters add interesting context for the characters, so even if you already know what happens in their route, you'll still be surprised or have a "Oh, now that makes sense" or "That adds a lot" kind of feeling. But if you prefer to approach stories knowing a little about them beforehand, then that's the way to go. If you want to do that, for example, Lars's route is a good one because his episode gives you enough context to understand him and his circumstances a little better in his route. Also, certain people kindaaa dislike Gil for how he acts around Walter, but if you give his episode a try before playing his route, I guess it could make you like him a little more.
As how things go by with the content released, if you want interesting lore i suggest you to play Anders, Mark and Gil's routes. Gil just from what happens in later days.
Again, I hope someone with better knowledge of the story can answers your questions.

Okay so I was in this scene where Walter and Gil are in an alley confronting some thugs, that's when Walter thinks something similar to "if only I could kill them...". The problem is that with the mouse wheel I returned the dialogue and I don't know how long that moment was supposed to last, and now I don't know how to read that part again. Is there something I can do for it to appear again?
