I believe I encountered a bug. When I started the game, I went through the character stories first, trying to barely get through the main story as I could. I hadn't went to the temple (the main temple where the first boss is a big green slime), but after I talked to one of the girls in the evening to join me, I was taken straight to where the first medallion was, no exploration or boss fight. I went to the southern exit of the medallion room after the scene, and the fairy talked as if I had just gotten into the room. When I backtracked to the entrance and left the temple from inside, my character just kept walking into the door and nothing happened. I can't fight the boss, I can't venture into the world beyond the portal, and I can't progress the story. I hope this was coherent enough to understand the problem, I'll be more than happy to share a video of the bug.

That might be because there is another Western MnF game that basically has the same plot
