thank you so much for your comment!! it made me happy to read your feedback and how you thought about it. i am glad that you got the self sacrifice route first because that was my favorite one to write tbh...
ALSO IM SO SORRY IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO SEE THIS AND REPLY i had no idea itch had comment filtering
Any items that get moved by the push/pull mechanics will end up spawning in their original locations due to the plugin bug, hopefully it is not too distracting! I didn’t know the one about the objects in Austin’s room, though. Is that after you clean them up off the floor? Is it locking you out of progressing through the game?
Thank you so much for playing the game, and so thoroughly, too! It makes me happy that you enjoyed it so much! I need to go through myself and make sure that I didn't accidentally program something incorrectly, but it is likely in the section after Riley chooses to bring the deer home or not. There are different unlockable sprites in the following sections:
Sacrifice -> Try to bring home the deer
Sacrifice -> Don't try to bring home the deer
Compliance
Mercy -> Bring home the deer
Mercy -> Don't bring home the deer
If you go through these configurations and are still missing a sprite, please let me know. I meant to try this earlier myself to see if I had a bug but I didn't have the time. Apologies for the delay!
Hello! Unfortunately the current version of the game does not support mobile devices, but after this comment, I bit the bullet and programmed a mobile friendly version. While playtesting it, I found that there is a plugin that saves object locations after they are moved and it is not working for mobile devices. I found another plugin that would fix it but it would break everyone's current saves. The objects not being saved in their new location isn't game ruining but it irks me that it doesn't work. I'm currently debating between pushing the mobile friendly version of the game with the location save bug, or breaking everyone's current saves to make sure the game works as intended for mobile users. If you moved an object and next time you came back to the map it was back in the original location, would that bother you?
Ive not tested on that particular browser but i checked and it doesn’t appear to be having that issue when running it, but i tested it using edge/chrome/firefox/safari. You can skip through dialogue and cutscenes, text, and speed up object interactions by holding alt or ctrl and should be able to get to your previous point fairly quickly. Im sorry you ran into that issue and hopefully it wont happen again, but if you have an alternate browser I do recommend playing it on edge/chrome/firefox/safari if you have one of those. Id hate for you to waste your time if that happens again at that point or any other point where i place items on the maps.
uh oh! Looks like the objects didnt populate in the proper area. You can see the objects in the upper right corner; they didnt move onto the interactable map area. They shouldve been on the ground when you went into the room the first time and austin was on the floor. Are you playing in the browser or download and if download, mac or windows? Do you have a save point prior to this that you can try reloading from and see if it happens again? Ive not encountered this bug before but I will try to recreate it
I'm so honored that it was able to land in your list of your favorites!! It really does mean a lot to me, and I am so happy that you were engaged with the story and the characters.
I personally haven't played it and there is no official English translation but I have heard that "Cell of Empireo" is quite good? I don't know much about it so maybe I shouldn't be recommending it without looking into it more, but it's on my list!
Thank you so much for your in-depth comment! I appreciate that you played my game and wrote so much of your thoughts out. My favorite animals are snails, so I had to include it in the preview images... :)
I am glad the part about having to push through everything despite everything else going on resonated with you. That was one of the things I was really trying to explore with this project: that feeling that things are constantly happening but there are still things that you have to do because they're expected of you, how exhausting it all is and how every choice you make ends up feeling like the wrong one.
Thank you again!
