thanks for the kind words! just for clarification, the exit to the second level is the kitchen, the note says "escape through kitchen" in order to push players in that direction, but given that people are having trouble figuring that out I might have to fix it when the jam is over

the lock isn't necessary, it's just an easter egg   a completely uninteresting room that you should just ignore
