Absolutely nailed the theme for me, and you really showed the impact this was having on the characters. Plus an element of warfare that doesn't really get looked into in stories enough. Top tier
Really solid story. I really like how you flipped things round. Having the paragraphs getting shorter and shorter helped the action hit home, and the leads slow realisation of what was happening. Good stuff
