Hey, thanks for the post and the feedback. It's still being worked on as side project, hoping to release it this year, but time will tell. Thanks again for taking the time to post.

Its such hard thing with game development, so many ideas and so little time. This game jam is my first completed game jam and first 'completed' game in a long time. I think this game would make a great portfolio piece to finish off. Feel free to reach out if you need any playtesting in the future. Would love to see what you end up with for the runes mechanic.

Thanks, glad you like it. I can understand it not being to challenging, was an area I would have liked to spend more time refining and making it easier to find more challenging catches (or some kind of in-game difficulty/reward scaling). The Pufferfish is one of the harder fish in there personally.

Great fun, l really like the atmosphere and the styling with the mythic/runes theme. I definitely see what you mean about the fishing mechanic being similar, I really like what you did with the runes as kind of obstacles/difficulty, great idea! In a larger version of the game, different runes could do different things, positive and negative, and possibly even buy your own runes to help.

Nice one. Really enjoyed the fishing mechanic in this one. Really great vibe too.

Really fun, I got quite a few chuckles out of this one, great work.

Really liked this, style was great and the fishing was really well done, enough elements to keep it interesting.

Thanks, yeah can't call it a space theme without some lasers.
Hook & Spook was quite fun too. Really like the aesthetic, and the ocean at night.

Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed it, I had fun on your submission too, felt like a great area to keep exploring. Some fish are quite easy to catch and others are almost impossible. I ran out of time for better balancing and more unique fish reeling elements. I'm not sure what was going on with the music, maybe forgot the looping, but I also had some 3D sound attenuation going on that was messing up restarting too.

Submitted mine 1am local time last night. Have had an awesome time with it all. Really looking forward to playing all the entries over the next few nights. First game jam for me too.
