If that's when you saw it I can't blame you, but it was there well before.  I had a dilemma about whether I wanted to restart the game or wait until the update about mid-late March, and when I saw that release date I decided to wait.  I'm still waiting to this day, lol.

Don't re-write history.  The April 5 release date was there WAY before April 1st.  It was NOT a joke, it was a deadline that was missed.  Anyone who says otherwise is lying to you.  What kind of April Fools' joke is visible the month before April Fools' Day and actually uses April 5 instead of April 1st for the day?

If the dev isn't sure about the actual release date, why is there a hard date on Steam?  There is literally an option to just say "coming soon".  I understand that apparently the IDEA of release dates seems to just OFFEND everyone involved in this project, but maybe they should stop giving hard release dates if that is the case...

So the steam release is set for Aug 12.  Is that going to be 2.0?  If its been confirmed that we are getting a 1.9 does that mean that the 1.9-->2.0 turnaround time is going to be like a month?  Or will Steam launch with 1.9?

I think it's hilarious that if we want more info other than "No, it's not ready yet" or "Ummm, akshually, release dates/windows are bad and YOU should feel bad for wanting one" we have to rely on some random guy.  Thanks Firestarter, you are doing the Lords work.

I wish I had posted something like this months ago.  I thought "I'll wait for 1.9, after all its only a couple of weeks away (this was back when it actually said the release date was April 5).  Now here it is almost 2 1/2 months later with nothing.  LOL.
