"We are terrible at time management" is NOT a good take that should be applauded.  Also, I get that you are a major stan for the devs but come on man...

It's not hate toward the devs.  People LOVE the game.  We just hate being in the dark, especially since the "estimated" release date has come and gone.

Work the shaft

Having an estimated window is cool.  EVERYONE was fine with the Q1 2026, that's a whole quarter of the year, we understand things happen.  The big issue I have with THIS particular update is that as that big estimate window was closing they literally put a hard date of 4/5/26.  Why would they do that?  That makes no sense at all...

Totally agree, the first "estimate" was a massive release window which was a whole quarter of a year, which is absolutely fine.  If you can't make that then either something must have happened, or you really don't know how to judge your work on an ongoing project.  The REAL issue is that as that window was closing a specific single date was given.  If you can't hit target dates the solution is not just waving a blanket statement of "Release dates are estimates and subject to change at our whim" it's to stop giving dates all together or, if you really want people to stop asking, replace it with just a progress bar.
