Would have liked something to ease into the game like a main menu and the controls were frustrating to learn, but I did really like the tadpole with a helicopter rotor on it's head and it was nice that reloading was fast and easy.

Really cool take on the tower defense genre. I liked the visuals and music, though it looks like the assets for the traps and walls only loaded for the tutorial and were just white squares for the actual game, which made it hard to remember what I put where. I also had a panicked moment after I bought the second ring where I was trying to figure out how to switch between rings, I figured it out quick enough, but it might be good to add a tool tip. Lastly, the turret's red view triangles were pretty hard to see against the purple background, might be good to make a small adjustment to make them easier to see. The old school sprites for the enemies were also really fun and overall I had a lot of fun playing the game and wanted more.
I usually don't enjoy games with parry mechanics because I never can get the timing right, but it was pretty satisfying to parry in your game. Was a little frustrating when I felt like I was doing good, sent a charged shot and then it was bounced back and was insta-killed (doesn't mean get rid of it, but might be good to slow it down just a bit) Also the music pretty quickly started to feel repetitive. Overall, very solid game and I enjoyed playing it.
We definitely agree that we want more player choice and and control in the game and plan to add it after the jam. I'm really glad you liked the intro, I worked had and dealt with a fair amount of frustration learning how to make it all work, but I'm really grateful for the experience and that it ended up working out well.
