I went through the same experience! In my first game, there were a few areas where, if you failed, you would be sent all the way back to the beginning. It was pretty rare, but when it happened, it was really frustrating. However, because of the way the map was built and because I wanted to preserve the original idea, I didn’t remove those dangerous areas, but I did improve others.

So, in this second game, avoiding excessive frustration was one of my main goals, although I feel like I may have added too many checkpoints in some places.

I’ll definitely check out that update to your game!

This is one of the most polished and creative games I've played in the jam. The stacking mechanic is surprisingly fun, and the way new ideas are introduced keeps the game fresh throughout. The atmosphere, writing, sound design, and presentation all come together really well.

I also loved how much content you managed to fit into a jam game. It feels like a complete experience rather than just a prototype. Honestly, I'm surprised it doesn't have more ratings. Excellent work!

I'd also love it if you could try my game when you have the time. :)

Hi! I played your game, and it’s really good. Impressive work!

Hi! I already played your game and left a comment. It’s very creative and challenging—I really enjoyed it!

This game is incredible! The mechanic is genuinely fun, and the level design is challenging in a good way. You're a genius. This could become a great game.

I couldn't get past level 3, but I watched your gameplay and wow, it's a really complete game. Keep it up!

Really fun and original concept! I really liked how the whole gameplay revolves around maintaining balance, and the physics feel great.

One small suggestion: I think it would be better if the character respawned automatically, or at least if the death screen disappeared quickly on its own. It would make the game feel more engaging and keep the player in the flow, especially since the game already requires a lot of attempts. Great job!

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! I really like your ideas for showing the jump strength through the orb itself. I actually experimented with a trajectory preview at one point, but I ran into some issues and ended up leaving it out. The visual feedback is definitely something I’d like to improve in the future.

And yes, the game has audio now!  I find it funny that it reminded you of Getting Over It. The mechanics do have quite a lot of similarities. I’m also glad you enjoyed the movement once you got the hang of it. Thanks for playing both levels and for the kind words!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the mechanic, the theme interpretation, and the visuals!  The jump charge indicator has definitely been one of the most common suggestions, so I'll keep it in mind if I continue working on the game. Thanks for playing and for the feedback! :D

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it, even if it was a bit difficult . I really appreciate you taking the time to play it and leave a comment. Thanks for the kind words! :D

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed the idea and how it fits the theme. A few people have mentioned the jump charge bar, so that's definitely something I'll consider if I keep working on the game. Thanks for playing and for the kind words! :D

Thank you for playing and for the suggestions! I actually considered both of those features during development. A jump charge bar and visible checkpoints would definitely make the game more readable and less frustrating. I'm glad you still found it fun and challenging. Thanks for the feedback! :D

Hahaha, I’m sorry I took away your inner peace instead of giving you some! haha I’m really glad you enjoyed the gameplay and sound despite the difficulty. Thank you so much for playing and for the kind words! :D

Thank you! I’m glad you found it challenging but still fun! Thanks for playing! :D

Thank you so much! I’m really glad you liked the idea. Thanks for playing and for the kind words! :D

Thank you so much! I’m glad you liked it! :D Thanks for playing!

Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the concept, atmosphere, and the core mechanic! I actually tried adding a jump strength indicator, but I ran into some issues with it. I might give it another try in a future update. Thanks for the feedback and for playing! :D

Thank you so much! I’m really glad you liked the interpretation of the theme and the core mechanic. It was a lot of fun to make, and I’m happy to hear you think it has potential. Thanks for playing and for the kind words! :D

Thank you so much! I’m really happy you enjoyed it! Knowing that it’s one of your favorites of the jam honestly means a lot to me. Thank you for playing! <3

Hahaha, I’m glad you finally beat the tutorial XD! I’m really happy you enjoyed the soundtrack. I really wanted the music to reinforce the feeling of instability while keeping the player calm. Thank you so much for playing and for the kind words! :D

I'm glad you liked it! Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback :D

You reached enlightenment!

Thank you so much! I tried adding a trajectory preview, but I was having some issues with it, so I left it as it is for now. I might give it another try in the future.

Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you so much for the comments! Haha, I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed it. It makes me happy and motivates me to keep going.

Thank you very much for playing!

The atmosphere and art style are fantastic, and the music fits perfectly. The combat is challenging but really fun, and the game has a lot of personality. Great work!

Hi! I just played it. It’s a creative mechanic with a lot of potential. Keep it up!

It’s a creative mechanic, and I really like the vintage aesthetic you chose. The way the visual style complements the gameplay mechanic is fantastic. Very well done!

Good game! It has a few issues, such as when a box falls on the character and gets them stuck, making it impossible to get out without restarting. Aside from that, it's solid and could be polished a bit more. Keep it up—good work!

The graphics are really good, and the controls feel great. It’s very well polished and finished. By the way, I think it would be more comfortable to collect the gold with the mouse click and use the other hand just for movement. Good work!

It brought back childhood memories for me too. Really good game, I enjoyed it!

I managed to dash outside the map boundaries lol.

I really liked the concept of managing multiple abilities, and the controls felt good. I did feel like it was missing a coyote time, though. The game is really well made and could definitely be expanded into something bigger. Good work!

An interesting concept, and visually very well executed. Good work!

I really like this kind of platformer. The mechanic of creating platforms with the dash is excellent, and the game feels very complete. The art style turned out great as well. I’m surprised it doesn’t have more ratings. Excellent work!

Interesting concept, and it's well executed. A solid entry—good job!

A really fun and creative game! I love how I can use the rider to keep jumping endlessly in the air haha, it almost feels like flying.

The destructible terrain is a great addition, and it's especially cool that it stays destroyed even after restarting the level. Really great game, good work!

Very interesting and fun, and pleasant to look at. It has a lot of personality. I really enjoyed the game.

It could benefit from an input buffer, but aside from that, it's incredibly well made. Great work — it has a lot of potential!

Cute and fun, with a great art style too. Good work!

I’m not sure if I was supposed to solve it this way or if I just found another solution. I saw people saying that the second level was difficult, but if this is the intended way to solve it, then I wouldn’t say it’s difficult—just not very intuitive.

That said, the concept and the game are really well done. Good luck in the jam! :)

I went so fast that I reached the edges of the stairs haha.

It’s funny to find another horse game! It’s fun, the concept is easy to understand, and it’s a good time. Good work!

It’s quite a challenging game. You have to learn how to calculate the jump charge, but it can feel a bit frustrating for some players. With a little more polish and a more player-friendly approach, it could become a great game. Good work

It fits the theme perfectly! It was fun to do several things at once. Great work, and very well polished!
