i must be misremembering then, ig i miscontrued the fact that the new prologue is in a bar and the date with dave is also in a bar. Just replayed and yeah it is with Hazel first which i do prefer too, considering the game's name

While I think it is an overall a net positive that the game is doing an engine overhaul, I do miss the charm of the old artstyle. 

I'm not sure how I feel about the changed prologue, the original with Dave was much more interesting imo albeit much less realistic.

These are just nitpicks from my end, I do wish the best for this game's future and will continue supporting it!
