I played what I assume was one of the first demos on Steam in February of last year and every time I seen it while scrolling my steam library I checked the store page and the release date wasn't announced and I seen this while looking for games to play on Itch and genuinely got giddy and checked the steam page and seen it had a rough release date and was so excited. I just played thru the current demo and have to say it has had a massive glow up from what I remember of the other demo I played being. I am sincerely looking forward to the full release.
It is so refreshing to see a unique take on the the skill tree incremental game genre. I swear most skill tree incremental games are just nodebuster clones with some variance but this is so unique that I genuinely played for a while after buying every upgrade and got up to 50M. I'm looking forward to the full release.
This is a very cool variation of minesweeper! It isn't exactly difficult because if you just find a number that is satisfied you can just slowly carve out a laser until it changes numbers. Never really had to deduce what was a mine with multiple lasers using the previous method I mentioned. Even though I think it's a relatively easy variation of minesweeper even on the hardest board I enjoy it a ton and will definitely come back from time to time to play a round or two.
Edit: My best time on a hard board is a 10:39
Unless I'm missing something it feels like getting ore is so few and far between. I've been playing for 45 minutes without hitting any mines and I have a grand total of $15 and the only reason it's that high is because I got one singular coal that is worth $10. Considering the first upgrade costs $149 this signifies to me that this game is going to be a huge slog and not worth playing in it's current state
I like this game alot but there are a good chunk of balance issues and bugs like blood being kinda hard to get and not getting blood from distress words if you upgrade "Paper cuts" or later chapters being pointless besides getting a secret from the boss because it's just giving the words more health for no benefit like more resources or anything. There is also the fact that rituals are borderline pointless with how many resources they give back in relation to how much you spend. spending 400 dust to just get +1 every 30 seconds. I would need to wait 3 hours and 20 minutes to recoup the cost of that upgrade. The game is really fun and I enjoy playing it but the bugs and balance issues are kinda dissuading me from playing further.
This game is very cool and I've enjoyed every second playing it but the biggest nitpick (emphasis on nitpick) that I have is how the layer 3 colours are laid out. It doesn't effect gameplay but my brain can't grasp what colours go into what especially since the layer 2 colours make sense. Like left and middle make next layer left, middle and right make next layer right and left and right make next layer middle but layer 3 is middle and right make next layer left, left and middle make next layer middle and left and right makes left which doesn't really make sense. Like I said it doesn't effect gameplay in the slightest but it does kinda bug me.
