LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEE (definitely going to reread it now).

They wanted a Parker backstory and they got it.

Just because two characters that you like aren't together doesn't mean the world is ending 😭

Get out of my replies you illiterate fuck.  LMFAO

I can't even begin to grasp what you're saying. Maaaaaybe you didn't like Parkers episode because you couldn't actually understand what it was trying to convey?

To Andy regarding Teddy’s route and the recent hate rampage from he who must not be named.

MILD SPOILERS FOR THE THEME IN PARKERS EPISODE AHEAD, DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT IT SPOILED.

I’ve recently read Parker's route last night, and I honestly see nothing wrong with it. I know the opinion of one person usually doesn't matter, but because of someonneeeeeeee (-_-) I feel the need to say this. From a reader's perspective, it's a nice look into Parker's past and who he was and still is as a person. For example in the main story, Parker seems to be in a better state of mind than he was back then. Him being self conscious about his weight being the main trait that carried over with him from the past.

There is also some nice use of rhetorical devices in the episode. The main one I noticed is repetition, with the repetitive use of multiple references to depression and acts of depression. Usually too much repetition can be bad, but I believe in a situation regarding depression (as this episode) it is used VERY well. Especially since depression can be a cycle of monotonous repetitions (speaking from experience). Like how Parker didn’t want to go out with Hendrik and then immediately regretted it. Or how Parker consistently compares himself to others, and how he can’t even look himself in the mirror.

Although some may say that the Parker episode is “bad” I honestly think you did a really great job at taking a look at Parker's personal past and depression. The only thing I could see that was bad about the route is some grammatical mistakes but that's literally the only thing.

Really great game so far, sad that developement has stopped :/

With the appearance of Cordelia and her Tarot card readings to Samuel in Nikolais new update, I think it’s only fair to discuss the implications they may have for the story in general.

Now, Tarot cards aren’t necessarily “good or bad” but finding the decisions to get the most “favorable” cards for Samuel based on his situation would be nice (considering this is a horror game made by Echo Project).

I have done a few runs myself and the most “favorable” cards I have gotten were the high priestess (past), the devil (present), and judgment (future), all being upright.

To get this you need to select these choices:

“Maybe not. He seems helpful.”

“Nik.”

Get the locker combination right (8 turning left, 16 turning right, 3 turning left).

Make it through the mines without dying (straight, right, left, maps right).

“Absolutely.”

And finally “I’m good.”

The “least favorable” cards I have gotten were the high priestess (past, reversed), the devil and lovers (present, both reversed), and the tower (future, upright).

To get this you need to select these choices:

“This is all way too suspicious.”

“Yao.”

Get the locker combination right.

Make it through the mines without dying

“I need to think on it.”

And finally “Yeah!”

Keep in mind that I do not know jack shit about tarot cards and am going off of what I have googled about them. That means I can’t really make any bold claims about the cards impact on the future of Nik’s route other than “this card may be bad” and “this card may be good”. So please provide any input if you think there are other ways the cards could affect the future.

Also, if you want to try out different choice combinations for yourself, here is a short little guide of what influences your cards/combinations (it’s not that in depth so what you get may vary). For example, the first choice of Nik’s route when you choose if Yao seems suspicious or not influences the past and present, allowing you to get the high priestess (reversed/upright) for the past and the devil (reversed/upright) for the present. The next choice lets you choose a name to tell Porter, which influences the future. Giving either judgment (reversed/upright) or tower (reversed/upright). Getting the locker combo wrong changes whatever your past card is to death. And dying in the mines doesn't do anything (I think). Finally, the two newest decisions influence whether the future card will be upright or reversed. Please correct me if any of this is wrong.

I believe you're probably right about the rumors of Gil and possibly the bad decision. But didn't GIl or Edgar have AFCLs version of Grindr? Like didn’t Walter or someone else recognize the ringtone? (I don’t exactly remember when or where I saw this so correct me if I am wrong)

(1 edit)

I got these screenshots from another post, these are what made me believe that Gil is most likely a virgin (although he might not be)

(1 edit)

Gil possibly could've done something to hurt Parker but their relationship seems fine? I mean he's very flirtatious and touchy so I could see why one would be upset if in a romantic relationship with him (referring to why GIl and Lars could have possibly broken up for). Other than that I honestly have no clue what he could have done sexually that would have damaged any of his relationships. I mean there's some pretty hard evidence that Gil is in fact a virgin. So unless that information is wrong everything just seems very cloudy.

(1 edit)

Then it probably has to do with the "Wrong decision" thing cause if he's not jealous then what else could it possibly be?

Overall it's a very complex confusing situation.

I mainly think it's jealousy but the "Wrong decision" thing kinda makes me think theres more to it...

As I said before, Herbert is most likely alive with a distant relationship with Walter. But if you’ve read Lars day 9 there is a heap of information that can definitely lead to a lot more conclusions about their relationship and the possible “Incident”. I definitely believe that Herbert was involved in said incident because of the information in Lars day 9. I believe that the “Incident” could’ve been a mistake that Walter made because of the constant guilt he feels in his flashbacks (although he might just feel guilty for no reason).

I’m just mostly questioning why they are distant and if it relates to the “Incident”.

Other than that I believe you’re right.

Herbert is dead.

Sorry, hook sentence. He’s not actually dead. Well, as far as we know…

Before I go any further I just want to say that I've only read the routes of GIl, Lars, and Parker. And have skimmed through the episodes of Gil, Lars (special too), and Mark. Meaning I do not have all of the necessary information of the story, so please correct me if any of the assumptions I have made are wrong (they probably are).

The reason I bring up the idea of Herbert's death is because of the insinuations that he is in fact dead. He’s not ever physically seen besides in flashbacks, and has not talked to Walter directly (besides Herbert saying he’s busy over the phone to Walter when his dad called Walter). Also Walter's dad said that Herbert is dead but then quickly said he was joking. Apparently it’s an inside joke they have going on but I believe there’s more to it (although I may be looking too deep).

Walter could have accidentally killed Herbert in the so-called “Incident” we know of but I believe this isn’t too accurate as to the fact that everybody in his life is acting far too casually. Unless everyone is just VERY dedicated to not let Walter know anything. Herbert is most likely alive and just has a distant relationship with Walter but the MASSIVE amount of information in Lars day 9 tells me that they have more than just a distant relationship. I obviously won't get into it because it’s Patreon only content as of right now, but boy was I ASTRONOMICALLY SHOCKED when I read the update. There is also the fact that Walter and Herbert could be the same person or possibly got switched? But that's really unclear. It still seems like a pretty valid question to ask, especially since they are identical twins.

Of course there's other big questions such as,

“Why are people coming after Walter?”

“What does Walter’s pendant mean?”

“Why are family names such as Learnard and McGrath so important”

“Why are strangers like Tora and Andrew so WEIRD???”

“What’s up with the house that Lars squatted by?”

“Did Gil and Walter’s dad (Edgar) have sex?!?!?!”

“Why is everyone so damn inconspicuous?!”

“AND WHY THE HELL WALTER DOESN’T QUESTION ANY OF IT?!?!?!?!”

Sorry, that was a lot of questions. And hopefully they will be answered in due time BECAUSE THEY KEEP ME UP AT NIGHT. But all in all I believe that the question of the “Incident” and Walters relationship with Herbert is the most important.

Anyways, if you’re still here, thanks.

Also, any and all comments building upon the fascinating lore of AFCL would be appreciated!

AAAAA!!!! I just can't help it!! When games like this have twists and turns like the "glitch" I came across, I just get so exited!!! My inner MatPat just screams in excitement!!

Sure thing! Make sure you choose to "Just head home" when prompted to!!

(1 edit)

Yo so has anyone else gotten the "glitch" on Lars day 8? I was at the part where you just finish up in Mr. Parker's class and you are prompted with the options (for mark) to:

  • Ask him to study together for tomorrow's quiz
  • No idea, suggestion?
  • Just head home

I usually like to choose the options that I think are the worst and to save the other ones for later so I can compare them and make the final decision of what I would like to choose. So I chose the option of to "Just head home". When I did that Walter encountered Talbot who then proceeded to verbally attack Walter. Eventually throughout the dialogue a "glitch" happens after Talbot's line, "No? You couldn't even come up with a smart-ass reply now?". The "glitch" contains what you would usually assume a glitch to be. A flashing/distorted background, disappearing/reappearing text, and even a new character name popping up named "?erH??". I would assume this relates to Walter's younger brother Herbet, mostly because of the starting letters of his name. Anyways this glitch caught me really off guard and I was luckily able to clip it. After reviewing it I noticed some things that are probably an important part to the lore of After Class. I haven't read the routes of Parker, Mark, or Anders yet so I can't really say much of what I think it means. If there's anyone who has read all of the routes please leave your insight below, I would love to know what you think! Anyways seeing this glitch made me really excited as to the fact that I love to theorize and look into things (6 year fnaf fan speaking here).

Here Is a link to the clip, also when I tried to restart the game the glitch didn't happen again (I think you would have to delete the game then redownload it to see it again, but I don't want to lose my saves so :P ). ALSO, the glitch ends at "Are you done yet? I need to go home right now". I went back and checked, that quote could also have some meaning as well (mighta been a mistake though).
