Love that death animation! Fun core gameplay and a good variety of upgrades. The shield enemies were interesting, but I found that lining up shots to hit them in the back was too difficult/left me open for attack, so I 100% relied on breaking shields with the flaming shot, which was a bit disappointing, as it felt less skilled. Not quite sure how you're supposed to beat the boss without a dodge/dash of some kind, but excited to give it another go!

Love the art, definitely a game I could've seen me and my friends competing in during computer time back in middle school.

Incredible gameplay, love the goofy poses. Has a great vibe. Great work

Fun idea! I like the different spin on the idea of using death to progress. The animations on the bomb are great too, love the jump animation. I enjoyed using the dash recharge goo as a ladder quite a bit.

While controls work well for the other sections (having the forward momentum on your jumps makes sense for reaching explosive blocks), they're not tight enough for that strict platforming section with the pillars. I think the controls are fine (they can be a bit awkward for platforming but it works with the puzzles) , but those thin platforms need to be a bit more forgiving, as it makes that section more frustrating than challenging.

Cute game! The art style, character designs, and season change mechanic all remind me of old Kirby games like Super Star Ultra.

Nice work! The speed  was great and controls were super responsive. Took me a minute to adjust to the speed, but felt great to control once I got the hang of it. Liked the idea of going faster to "reload", it fits well with the gameplay loop.

Flying into my own trap right after I set it felt a bit unfair sometimes, I think making more visually distinct from the background would help (maybe make it red so it's visibly dangerous). I was also hoping that the trail would work as a shield to block or deflect projectiles, would definitely consider adding that as a feature.

Great job, congrats!

Great game, it's a neat concept and the difficulty was well balanced (struggled a bit with the last two levels but they were never frustrating, just tricky). Would be curious to see how you'd expand on the level design and any new mechanics!
My one note would be that the geometric aesthetic of the art doesn't seem super cohesive with the story of a guy trapped in a cursed banjo dimension. Seems like it should a more mystical vibe (maybe something along the lines of the old Doctor Strange comics, or the magical bits of The Princess and the Frog Disney movie, but you could go in a lot of directions with it, so whatever you like). It would help a lot with the immersion.
Had a lot fun tho, great work!

This was fun! Enjoyed the core mechanic and I think you could def expand in a lot of ways with more time. Minor note: the instructions at the beginning could be worded a little better, referring to the fireball as "yourself" is a bit confusing. Good job overall tho!
