Thank you everyone for the kind comments, appreciate it! <3

I'm glad you found some of our stupid ideas as amusing as we did (and that it wasn't just because we didn't get enough sleep)

— Signed,

:3

Super cool how much thought went into the logic behind the grading, much more intricate than I expected. Hats off!

Wonderful game, had my jam partner compete with me for the best cheap artist (tm) award. Lotsa fun!

Really cool game, love how well you mixed both theme and special object — the text conversations are also quite funny, great touch!

Such a pretty game...!Though the text at the beginning is a little hard to read, the font is quite thin and the visual effects obscure the letters.

Other than that, I must say the Dream Realm is a place I would love to return to some day :3

Really difficult bosses, but I had a lot of fun learning how to deal with the both of them! A quick restart button would've been handy though, for attempts where I took damage  early on. Cool artstyle and interesting story :)

Lovely story! For a first attempt at an RPG Maker game, it's amazing —I especially appreciate the effort that went into the menu. It's the part of a game that's often neglected, but I adore how it looks in your game :3

Wishing you all the best for your future writing endeavours!

Tough game! I like the execution though :)

Would be nice if the price of each upgrade would show up on the wall, so the player can purposefully save for a specific one they want. Clicking on the upgrade button also does the job, but it takes a lot of time to get otherwise pretty important information.

The bad umbrellas don't really look bad, they have a pretty orange color! Bad umbrellas looking a little battered or crooked would help with intuitively understanding that those need to be removed I think...

The atmosphere is great, really feels like I'm inside a factory where I shouldn't be, or where not-so-legal things happen, good job :3

Clever interpretation of the theme! Also just a fun and creative concept for a turn-based RPG battle as a whole :)

Love the effort that went into the game's graphics, including its webpage :)

The witty messages are awesome. Need I say more...?

No but seriously, love the aesthetic of the game — feels like a well done combo of Downwell and Cave Story, which is great, because I like those games as much as your friend likes Mario 64.

With all that said,

there is umbrella

Calm and cute experience :)
The inertia on the player character's movement might be a little too much, I think... I would like  to explore every corner of the world, but travelling takes quite a long time.

I love how the critters look, they're really adorable — I appreciate how many there are of them :3

What an experience... and not just one "cheap" copy, but 3 of them! I don't have much to add that others haven't said already, but if there is one nitpick, it would be that the Buckshot Roulette part is perhaps a little too unpredictable. For what it's worth, I had to watch the intro cutscene for that part a bunch of times, which made me wish there would be a way to skip it after the first death.
That being said, 10/10, this game rocks!

Love the pixel art!

Simple and fun! Though maybe some sound effects would've been nice ;)

Fun!

How do you make an umbrella?

Cool game! The way you implemented the theme is really creative, hats off :)
