It doesn’t , but I just added a free addon you can download for this plugin! 🎉 It lets you add that option in easily without messing with the main plugin’s setup 😊 I figured it’d be safer (and simpler!) to make a little addon instead of risking anything breaking lol 💕
Just add Xy_AFE_DefaultHitFlash to your plugin files, add it under Xy_AnimatedFrontEnemy, enable it, add the changes however you'd like and you should be good! You'll still need to add [default_anim] to the enemies that you do not have animations for 💕💕💕

Haiii haiii~! ✨ Right now the plugin doesn’t have an option for animated protagonists, but I’ve added it to my list and I’ll look into either building that feature in or making a separate plugin for it once I get through my current workload 💕
As for Fear and Hunger battles, I’m not totally sure what specific style you mean, but since it’s all just animations it should work with that setup too! :3
Sorry for the late response, but I’ve got this all fixed up now! ✨ I added a brand-new plugin (free of charge) called Xy_IndoorNoDayNight. Just place it under your Xy_DayNightCycle plugin, adjust the parameters however you’d like, and add the note tag to any “indoor” maps you want it applied to. 💕
You can also customize the indoor tint/light — so if you want it naturally darker to add your own ambient lighting (or for any other reason), you’ll have full control over that too :3 💫

If you do not mind try installing a new MZ 'game', switching your Corescript to v1.6.0 (just go to Game > Update Corescript, and change it from 1.9.0 to 1.6.0) as well as changing the file name to Xy_AnimatedFrontEnemy. See if that works, I am very sorry you're having issues with my plugin and sorry for asking so much of you, it means a lot you're being very patient with me 💖

It should actually be in the Plugin Pantry already 💖 It’s just a little unorganized at the moment, but I’m planning on tidying it up soon 😅 If you check under the Enemy Health Bar folder, there should be an MZ folder inside with Xy_EnemyHPBar in it. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for pointing it out! :D

About the sprite "blip" after the enemy attacks — yes, I’ve definitely noticed that too! I’ve been trying to figure out a clean fix for it, and I am looking into it, but no promises just yet~ 💦 It seems to be a tricky timing thing I haven’t quite pinned down, but I’m hoping to smooth it out eventually!
As for your second question — having specific animations tied to specific skills is definitely something I’d love to add! That’s actually been on my mind since the beginning, and it’s totally possible for a future update but once again no promises just yet. 💪✨

Aww I'm really sorry it's not working well with your setup! Most battle systems do not work with eachother sadly, so they do conflict a bit~ 😢

Yayyy glad it worked out! 💖 If anything breaks or acts weird, totally let me know!
