The card arts are very good. Everything from UI, art style to sound feels cohesive and thus makes the game feel polished for a solo-developed game. And it's also immediately playable from the foundation of blackjack rules. However, the additions on top of that (such as the roguelike elements) don't quite contribute enough to the overall gameplay just yet.

Reading from the logs it seems to me that you originally had betting be a more risky play, but with this version I've play tested on (1.3), it's precisely a coin doubler for whenever I gather a hand of 21. It leaves no reason to not just all in every time you have a hand of 21, worst outcome is getting what you put in back.

That, alongside the current pools of abilities (perhaps too powerful at the moment) makes the game have very little challenge. Also, it would very helpful if there was a mandatory tutorial explaining what everything does.

That said, I see a good foundation so far for what this is aiming at. I believe this has the potential to become an interesting roguelike card game through further development. Good luck!

Hi all,

I'm looking for a team to join for this jam.

I can write any type of music and I am most experienced with orchestral music.

Here is my portfolio: https://xxmxxm.com/

Please feel free to reach out to my discord if you're interested

My discord username:  xxm.

[EDIT] Thank you so much for all the interest! I've had some exciting project developments come up, so I'm no longer available for this jam. I'm leaving the post up for networking purposes but am not currently looking for a team. Best of luck to everyone jamming!

I'm honoured to hear your opinion on my work, especially about the ambiguity of the emotions. I was trying my best to convey the sadness through a layer of veil, as if it's hidden within the dreamy bubbles but also trying to reach out to something. I wasn't too sure if I had successfully captured this complexity within my arrangement, but hearing your thoughts definitely provides good confidence for assuring so.

I'm all up for collaborations! Very grateful of your appreciations and I wish the best for your work in the competition too. :)

Thanks! My friend who drew the cover art would be happy to hear.

I take quite long to write and I wasn't quite sure how much I could write in about one week, so I chose to focus in completing one track for this submission. I might extend this idea into a complete album later on.

Much appreciated!
