This captures exactly how I've felt playing the last couple of days. I haven't reached the restart or softlock point yet, but every decision has had me worried this was going to be the one. The choices are all presented as if there's some impact, but no feedback as to whether this is the right thought process which will deter from a bad ending.
Translations are also getting progressively worse. Grammar aside, MC dialogue has been reduced to filler. "Something's going on here. I don't know what though." "I wonder what's happening.." "They're hiding something." "I should leave them alone." "I have a guess!" It may as well not be there and it's rarely in line with the information available
Simply amazing. A perfect mix of lewds, laughs, and all-around lovable characters. It's almost like watching a 2000s sitcom, except it grew up to be just as nerdy and perverted as us. The graphic and animation quality are insane. I don't have anything against HS/KK, but the animations tend to get repetitive when they're in every single game. Here, everything is unique and feels personal.
But the real kicker- the perfect goth gf has abs?!? 馃拃馃枻 I couldn't possibly feel more catered to in this lifetime. Thank you for the experience thus far and I can't wait to see the rest of it!
Few hours in and it feels like the real story's just beginning. Sometimes, it's a bit cheesy, but regardless, the vast amount of effort put into this project is clear as day.
The Director is, by far, my favorite character so far. Immersion factor 10/10. I've lost count of how many times I've blurted out, "What the fuck?" and "Really?" in perfect sync with MC's inner monologue.
One super small issue I have with the MC's logic is that he has supernatural aspects about him, but doesn't believe in ghosts? Also there's quite a few bugs, but it probably comes with the territory as this is probably the most I've ever seen RenPy's limits stretched.
Either way, really glad this exists! Enjoying it a lot so far and can't wait to play more.
This happened to me a couple times when trying to scroll up and the game got confused between scrolling the phone screen and returning to previous screen. Was able to flip back and forth a few times and scrolled "back" until it let me through.
Four years of progress and it shows. There's so much content here. Gameplay is unique as far as H-games go and does a great job of making it feel like running a cafe. The UI is a bit overwhelming at first but it's aesthetically pleasing overall. MC and the girls have their own charms and no one's been outright annoying so far. I'm a little sad the character I initially found most attractive is my least favorite archetype, but I've found more than enough comfort in the other girls.
Some feedback:
- The hotkey layout for food/drink is a bit tough to adopt. Even with all the keys mostly memorized, 7 of each food/drink extending out to U/J means the left hand can't stay on ASDF, making hotkey use fairly frustrating.
- It'd be nice to have the important stats (cash, cleanliness, maid energy%) visible on the action menu as well as in the Backrooms menu. In the latter, money is shown but despite being able to move girls around, energy and cleanliness seem to require going back and forth between Chat and Shop respectively.
- An in-game log for both dialogue and cafe events would be awesome. There's been a few times I missed a conversation detail and couldn't go back to fully understand the situation.
Overall, I'm really glad I found this gem. Looking forward to more. Please keep up the awesome work!
The premise is enticing- slave fetish fits into the harem genre well and putting it in law form justifies the player's actions within this small fantasy town. That validation is huge for a game like this and provides a solid foundation for world building.
However, I have to agree with many of the comments below. MC is incredibly cringe. Characters also don't seem to grow- they just get more or less attached to each other. These factors remove any sense of immersion. So instead of playing as the MC, the player ends up watching a story of some loser fumbling through life, accidentally gaining ownership of his friends and (family). Granted, I'm not caught up to the latest update, so hopefully that changes soon.
It's been a bumpy ride so far, but there's still a ton of potential here. Unlike similar games, the girls' tits are actually mostly proportional to their frames. The baseline character profiles are unique enough to tell them apart immediately. The overarching story is engaging enough to encourage progression. With some small changes and a bit more content, it could easily be one of the more successful games out there.
I sincerely look forward to the game's development and hope the community feedback has some impact on its growth.
Looks like the game also freezes at Kanae scene after finding snowglobe, clicking doesnt bring up the next dialogue. Tried restarting app, loading saves, etc. Gets stuck everytime. Skip button shows the next few dialogue lines but scene is still stuck.
