This game was perfect - and more than I expected. My gender fluid 6 y/o child was scared or frustrated by most games we (I) were playing. This kept my kiddo reading, off of YouTube, and even Minecraft, and we kept coming back for more.

The animals are cute, friendly and rideable but the characters and relationships were even more adorable (like the couple who run a garden store together and want to set up the perfect anniversary at your cafe).

Shrunken cooking was so fun (like hoola hooping bagels into shape). It was a great conversation starter for queer characters too. My kiddo loved the no pressure/fail and free roaming gaming. We played with a controller and I got it in a bundle for a good cause. 

Thank you for making this game! It was exactly what my kiddo (and I) were looking for. Perfectly specific and ran smooth even on my old PC.

I love, love, love the writing style. Wish there was a lot more by this author so I could do a deep dive. As others said, I felt the possibility of some of the elements towards the end were not set up earlier, but I just wanted to spend more time in the world and hear more descriptions of magic by this author. I cared about the characters and was happy to see my favorite minor character get some bigger moments later in the book. I got it as part of a bundle but it is totally worth the money. I have definitely paid four times or more for books I couldn't get past the first chapter. This one was hard to put down.
