That’s interesting, just did start on Arch and got the same issue.

I did the same on Windows and it’s fine, I might have an idea what could cause this.

Well … that might be an issue … :D

Yep, thank you very much, I will make a hotfix for that issue.

I will update the AUR, version 0.17.2 will work once again.

To explain this more into detail. Version 17 was a huge refactoring of the original code. Beside restructuring the whole codebase making the ui more simple was the main focus. Seems like I did not test that exact change on Arch Linux. Version 0.16.0 and 0.17.2 should work fine, all versions in between will be broken.

You did install the AUR package?

That’s strange, did you reach the main menu or is it broken right away?

To be honest I’m confused as I tested the AUR package on Saturday on a Arch machine using Wayland and plasma and it loaded fine.

So either something is different on your machine or the update broke something. As I do lack a Arch system where the game does run native on diagnostic is a hard. I have to ask a friend of mine to use his rig once again.

Thank you for testing it out.

Just did a quick check with Arch Firefox and Zen and it seems to work for me.

So it might be very likely that Librewolf is missing that library required.

I did test it with Firefox and Zen on Arch, but not that exact version.

I will give it a try if it still does work there, but it should as I use the same browser on Windows.

If it does work on those browsers on Arch I think it might be possible that that exact library is missing for Librewolf.

But if you are on Arch there is a AUR package for Samory available, if this is something you would want.

Which device did you use? Do you know which browser is installed?

I did test it on Android with Chrome and Firefox Also I did test it on Windows and Linux with Firefox and Edge.

I do know that it is not working on the FireTV Tablet, somehow that browser prevents the game from running.

I do like it, you should properly add a highscore allowing you to save your score and compete against it.

Is there a reason you can not rotate the blocks into a vertical position?

Or did I simply missed the keys for that?

Small thing I notice, after you lost the game you can open up the pause menu, this looks strange if both menus are drawn over each other.

I really do like the game concept, it does feel addictive to me.

I would like some kind of statistic for the game as well as a identicator how many money I currenctly make per second. Also maybe if you toss the face a lot maybe this will give you something?

Right now it’s not clear to me what I need to do to get new upgrades, there are some hidden but I do now know if I need to buy some specific upgrade or get a amount n of coins bought to progress here.

For me the “d” key does not work, but using the arrow keys is just fine.

Also the exit button is not functional on the web build.

But I do like the effort you put into this, well done.

Seems like I do get the same issue on other games as well, just checked your breakout clone. Maybe this is an issue with Linux and Firefox.

That’s interesting, just tested it on another device and the “d” still does not work for me. I can use the arrow keys just fine.

I do like the movement and it seems to be fast paced, something about the wall jump feels a little bit off to me. Maybe add a small visual effect on the wall if you slide down or jump off.

Since I miss another player I can’t say much how this feels if I play against an opponent.

Seems like the “d” is not working to run to the right.

Maybe that’s only an issue with the web build.

Thank you, just added some of your tracks to my game

I uploaded the newest build a second ago

Am I allowed to upload tracks to GitHub? I do host my game as a public repository on GitHub and did think about including some of your music into the game.

This would force me to upload the songs to the public GitHub repository.
