i had a BLAST tearing through this demo, oh my god. it has been AGES since i played a game that enthralled me as much as this one did, i didn't even consider looking up from my computer until i was done, i was ENRAPTURED.
i hand sew plushies as a hobby and honestly the sewing machine sections felt VERY realistic in terms of how veering off slightly completely fucks your seam, and the way the percentage rapidly drops into the negatives before you're forced to restart when you REALLY do something wrong, i have experienced both of those in real life readily. i know that's probably a silly thing to comment on but it made me laugh a little because it felt so familiar in that way, and i loved it.
the fabrics are fun, the character designs we get to see are gorgeous, the style is charming, and the cat changes poses in the background :3 truly, what else is there to a perfect game?
i'd love more variations in the dress options (though i'm sure that's something already on your docket for the steam version lol) all the options we have are fabulous but as an artist with a bit of a perfectionist streak, i did find myself cycling endlessly through the options to try and manage the Vibe i was going for.
a bug i did run into, i had completed a sketch, cut out the pieces, gone to the fabric store, then realized i wanted a different color palette, so i went back to the sketchbook, changed the colors, cut the pattern again and, the colors vanished from both the thumbnail view and the sketchbook. i had to finish the dress with an uncolored pattern sketch, because i couldn't get them to work again. fairly minor quality of life thing, but it did annoy me.
this i mention in case unity crash handler was spamming you, i initially downloaded the game while i think itch was having an issue, as it was shortly before it went offline for an hour, and the game would not run for more than a minute at a time, the longest i made it was to the pencil in the tutorial. i have no idea at all what the issue was and it seemed to fix itself when i redownloaded the game files after itch came back up. again, not your fault, probably a result of itch, but if unity sent you like, fifteen crash logs in the span of twenty minutes, i want you to know i am so very sorry.
i'm particularly proud of this dress, because i managed to fit all the rainbow colors into it in roughly properly descending order, and i think it looks Neat :)

then i had some fun with freestyle mode :3
