I've touched base with our team and the reason why there isn'ta leave-fishing exit button is because we ahd planned on integrating the fishing into the visual novel mechanics so that the fishing unlocks another dialogue option.  We hope to integrate that into the game later.

Thanks!  We wanted the fishing pauses to integrate with game mechanics where you unlock more options--however we didn't have the capacity to integrate it as we liked since half our team got sick halfway through.  I think it speaks to the quality of our team and the collaboration that we pulled together such an excellent project regardless.  Really wonderful people all around.

Thank you our team did a lot in a short time, especially considering we all got sick halfway through the jam (lol).  A button to leave the fishing is a great quality of life integration--I'll let our programming team know!  We've discussed working on the project after the fact.

Thank you!  We really appreciate the suggestion for the fishing screen.  We are going to reconnect on game changes after the voting ends and see what we have capacity to integrate.  There has been a lot of really great feedback so far.  I hope that you continue to enjoy the game, and thank you so much for playing!

Thanks!  Our artist and musician are really great.  We appreciate your feedback on the game components.  We learned a lot while making this!

This is a cool game and I'd love to see the mechanic in a fishing game proper

I love that!  I've come back to play this game so much.  I look forward to the cat-highlighting update <3  Having that cat-queue would definitely be helpful for having each play through be viable--especially when you have lotsa cats, which seems necessary at a certain point.

Hi!  Thank you so much for your feedback.  Our artist is really great, yeah, and they did a wonderful job!  We had some fun mechanics we came up with for if the player could stop fishing when they wanted but we didn't have the skill for that, unfortunately.

OMG this is really cute and funny!  I had so much fun blasting the dancing chairs.  I loved the ending too!

Seconded!

This is cute and I really love it!  I played this for a whiiiiiiiile hehehe.  Like half a day.  I want to keep playing tbh.  I love management sims and strategy games!

The longest I got to was day 28.  The biggest challenge after I figured out the game was knowing which cat I had selected--adding a little highlight around the selected cat would be a really great quality of life upgrade.  Also, a panel showing all of my cats showing how full their stomachs are and their spirit amount would be really helpful for planning when you have lotsa cats.

This is fun, I love management sims!  The biggest difficulty for me was the time.

Constructive feedback:  I didn't have capacity to click all of the things the planets dropped and also figure out all of the ui and planetary sorting.  Having a button where I could auto pick up all of the waste, open up a menu where time was paused for food crafting, and open up a menu where time was paused for looking at the planet's personalities would be helpful.

I loves: I love all of the thought you put into this.  That the planets have different personalities is so fun!  I'm curious how the food works and I like how the personalities interplay with the other components.  Like how Speedy likes being in a fast solar system so you could probably pair them with Bully and gahhh my brain is EXCITE.  I love this.

Shoutout to our project manager Fruity for having the book on hand!

I'm so impressed you put this together all on your own.  I wouldn't have been able to tell!

Oooo that's a cool mechanic.  I didn't notice that lol

I love this sort of puzzle.  I'm curious how you envisioned this mechanic in a game.

I love games like this!

OMG this is super cute and also I love it!  Y'all did such a great job!

I found the instructions on how to play in the screenshots for the game.

I love the vibes, just not quite sure how to get more of them.  I did everything I could with the shell and the body.  I tried clicking "proceed" and it didn't work.

I love the simplicity of the format and design.  Seeing the code is really neat, walking through the game is lovely, and it was so cool to read the game notes and how you laid it out!

Hey, this is a really cool game with a really innovative idea.  I love the simplicity of the format and design and I'd love to play more of it.  It's kinda hard for me to play since the window for the game seems to be a fixed width and my screen is pretty small though.  I tried maximizing the browser but it stayed the same ;_;  Also, it's difficult to see the lighter text on a darker background--increasing the contrast in colors might help with that.  Otherwise I love this--seeing the code is really neat, walking through the game is lovely, and it was so cool to read the game notes and how you laid it out!  Super duper respect <3

The art is cool and I like the vibe of the writing I've accessed so far.  I dragged the "Nameless" card onto the other different cards and that unlocked some text.  I love the ooky vibes and I can't wait to see where this goes!

Really cool!  The UI is very simple and smooth and really puts you in first person perspective.  I like how the text is in red and green and the way I had to quickly pick between numbers.  Sometimes I got lucky and games did well, sometimes I didn't.  The decisions felt easier with the numbers than they often do in real life, and I found myself thinking about how I probably overcomplicate things, hehe.  I really love this kind of game!

Wow, I loved this!  This was your first game?  You all did incredible!  I liked the art, the simple mini-games, and I really felt the time pressure.  It was very on-prompt.  Y'all did great!

Thanks for uploading it anyway--can you tell me about the work you did?

I love the art and the aesthetic!  This is so cool that you put this together.

Oh gosh I'm so bad at platformers TT^TT This was fun though!  I actually made it to the first save point!  I liked that it's a satire of HG ^_^

Thank you so much for playing.  I’m glad that you enjoyed it!  That’s the end of the story—we didn’t make an end card.  We’ll probably add credits of some kind and expand the game a bit after judging ends.  This was our first video game so we learned a lot while making it.  We really appreciate your feedback!

I suck at platformers unfortunately but this is super cute!  I love the art and the music.

I really like the blurb.  I died and then I couldn't move anymore--was that a part of the game?
