Been a while since I checked on this one. Character creation was just as delightful as I remembered. Glad to see an update. I really enjoyed coming up with an alias for my demon this time. And meeting the family. Very fun. I hope you are doing well.

I hope you are well.
This was a very interesting read. I really liked the little ways the story could play out. I can also see why this would be a lot to write. The character interactions are already very complex. It makes for a very enjoyable time as a player, but you very much have my sympathy as a writer. So much to track, and subtle differences can have such ripples to follow.
I hope you have a chance to come back to this someday. For now I will be grateful that I got this much of a really neat villain story. I am very tempted to go looking for "Le Bossu".
Tidy visuals, aesthetic but very easy to read.
The writing is solid. Does well at balancing atmospheric and practical needs. The rather poetic opening was effective at catching my interest. The personal description did well at being descriptive enough to be worth including while being vague enough to leave room for personal interpretation or projection. Once there is enough story to really shape the character I may have to come back and try different options just to see how the personality descriptions change. They were very fun to read, and there were a fascinating number of options. Neat to see such complex character conception.
The characters thus far are quite interesting. I can't help but wonder how my perspective on them will change as I see more. I adored the gossip publication, that was very fun.
I look forward to seeing where this story goes. Good luck with the writing, and I hope other people find this to encourage you.
After sorting out my tech difficulties (skill issue, not game design), I can say that the game is as charming as it looks.
The art style is good at balancing a variety of factors. It is adorable, it is detailed enough to convey the fossils as stone remembering bone, and is simple enough to be pleasant while doing both. There are a few main themes for decorating your museum that mix and match quite well. And, again, these add to the experience without being distracting. Very well done.
The music is pleasant but unobtrusive.
The gameplay was fun. Describing why things are fun is not my strong point, but it worked for me. Perhaps as important is how delightfully intuitive it is. No tutorials and minimal popups, but easy to play anyway. I tend to do poorly at games without in-game tutorials, but I only made one mistake when I started playing. And that only a very minor one. I would call this very good design.
I quite enjoyed putting the dinosaurs together. Neither of mine were complete, as it is a bit late for playing through more than one dig site, but it settled the part of my brain that is always looking for a nice, low-pressure puzzle.
I like the writeups about the dinosaurs. I only played through one dig site, so I'm not sure how many dinosaurs are currently in the game, but it was fun to read about the history of paleontology. For both of them. And obviously learning about dinosaurs is always fun.
A very good game on the whole. My only problem is both small and might have been my fault. I struggled to find a way to exit the game once it was running. There didn't seem to be any button for it, and neither the escape key nor any of the letters provided an exit option. Needing to pull up the task bar to manually close the window to exit a game is not my preference. I did go back and double check that I hadn't missed an instruction on the starting menu and loading screen. Still, this is a very minor issue and as it is late and I am bad at tech may well be my fault.
On the whole, a very pleasant game. I look forward to playing again and to seeing it expand.
This looks really fun and interesting, but unfortunately I can't play it.
When I try the web version it doesn't load properly. After the Unity screen it is just black. There is some music that starts up if I click on the screen though.
When I tried the download version it crashed and gave me this error message: Unable to parse Build/Web_0.1.2.framework.js.br! This can happen if build compression was enabled but web server hosting the content was misconfigured to not serve the file with HTTP Response Header "Content-Encoding: br" present. Check browser Console and Devtools Network tab to debug.
I hope this is helpful.
This is very fun. If there were more options I can see myself spending hours and days on it. My sister thought it was neat too. In the full version it would be neat to see more dress options. Especially some older styles? I got really excited when I saw the rich girl's outfit, then kind of sad when I realized there was no indication the game would let me make something like that. But I did enjoy the game on the whole. It was a little bit unclear how much the pattern contributes to style points. If it is definitely a factor, maybe there could be tags during the drafting process, like with the fabric selection. It would also be nice to have more sleeve styles, more than one bodice option with collars, that sort of thing. Customer profiles or a measuring mechanic would also be neat. But the only mechanic that felt truly lacking was the lack of style points clarity in the drafting. And I really liked the visuals on the whole. The fabrics look pretty good, and I like the different fabric types too. Curious about the inclusion of the burlap. Good luck going forward!
I think I am looking forward to seeing where this goes. I am intrigued by the worldbuilding, even if these vampires are rather less monstrous than I usually prefer. I didn't expect to like them so much (just a preference pattern, absolutely no slight to you) but am curious about them. And I am very curious about how the relationships within the trio develop.
This is fun. I like the different tiers of decor. And the paintings for the waiting area made me smile. I do wish you had let us preview the upgrade system. Even just seeing the types of upgrades without being able to buy them yet. I'm not sure I want to play the longer version without knowing that part. Still, it really is a nice game. Good luck!
This is very neat. I look forward to when the reincarnation/new game + is added. The idea of starting with someone who lacks skill at most things and then building them up over multiple lives seems fun and an excellent way to provide a balance between the desire to play someone powerful and the practicality of starting weak.
I just stopped by to play through the character creation again. Not sure how many times I've done this, but I feel like it is probably at least 20. And I find it properly fun every time. Today I just want to see what visuals my brain likes for your demon, but there have also been several times I returned just to try different variants of the tea scene. Tea choices as a way to examine character is a delight to read.
Thank you for making this game. While my fondness for what is here makes me hopeful for the day it continues, I mostly just want you to know that I see this as a rather brilliant piece of art just in what is already here. Your dedication to providing so many choices for people to craft their idea of a demon is inspiring.
I've read enough posts from interactive fiction authors to know that having so many options can be rather difficult, but you still allowed us all these options and I am so grateful for that.
I love the way I am allowed to play with gender and expression. I love that a hellhound can be several types of dogs, non-dog canines, or something entirely different. I love the way the jewelry hints at backstory and the world's lore. Your writing is lovely and makes my heart hurt in the best kind of way. Thank you for taking the time to make this lovely, complex piece of art. I hope things go well for you and your people and that you have time to pursue whatever interests you have, relevant to this work or not.
My second time commenting. Still adore this, but something caught in my brain a bit and I was hoping for clarification. So, when they meet, Yniol addresses the MC as "my liege" and I'm a rather confused. Before now I've only seen it used to refer to someone's liege lord (whatever lord, king, etc. that they've sworn an oath of loyalty and service to). As far as I'm aware that hasn't happened yet? I feel like I'm missing something.
I really do enjoy this game. The characters are refreshing and intriguing, the story is lovely, and the descriptions are a delight. I am just rather worried I have missed an important plot point. Or otherwise misunderstood something.
Thank you for putting the time and energy in to create this game. Saraah is a wonderful bit of trouble and a perfect darling and I look forward to seeing more of him. I also look forward to Arthur and the Hound's eventual conversation. And more Evaine. Kind and competent warriors with pretty hair long enough to braid are a favorite of mine. And adorable Mordred. Very much looking forward to seeing him over time. I never know what to expect from retellings there and this one has diverged on several standard points in an interesting way that makes me excited about how this version might differ from the standard.
Every time a new update lets me add a new hobby I giggle. Thank you for letting me live out my fantasy of being able to pursue all the arts. From the bits I've picked up following various writers it would have been easier to give us one point where we can choose an art or hobby, but you gave us so many points where we can pick up arts and you tied it into relationships. It contributes to the story and we have so many options and I am so, so grateful that you decided to do it this way. I love getting to play a character who has the resources to just pursue whatever arts catch their attention. It is such a nice change from a lifetime of having to worry about whether a hobby is affordable.
Also, dragon friends are the best friends. Brilliant addition to the world, Elewen and Mordred's own darling bring so much joy. I love that despite all the troubles Mordred has at least one friend to trust. And Callum is simply adorable. The dragon teacher is lovely and seems very good at their job. I love that they take off-topic questions seriously.
Thank you for creating this, for taking the time and energy to share it with us. I look forward to seeing how this piece of art grows.
Thank you for making a game where my character does not have to speak. It is soothing to play on days when my voice is unbearable. I also find your Arthur's kindness very useful, and rather original. Usually even the most idealistic Arthurs are a bit too forceful, but this one appears determined to be decent instead of just good. In addition, your descriptions are pleasantly enchanting.
