If you would like some advice about how to get your mixes to sound equally loud, I would look into finding a loudness meter plugin. These plugins typically have a measurement called LUFS, which measures the relative loudness of the entire track. I don't think FL Studio has a loudness plugin built in, but I looked online and it seems there is a free one.

I think the soundtrack is pretty good overall. One small criticism I have is that certain tracks like Track 3 and 7 sound way louder than the other tracks in the soundtrack. It kind of comes across as jarring when listening to the soundtrack as a whole.

I like the use of a chord progression as a motif throughout. It ties the soundtrack together nicely

The gamelan and other pitched percussion arranging sounds fantastic. The track is really unique compared to the others I've heard.

I really liked the second track. I thought the added sound effects helped with both adding texture to the music, and also creating the atmosphere of a street race.

I definitely hear the drive during a summer night you are going for

I really like the ambient tracks on this soundtrack because they don't overstay their welcome. Right when I felt like a section was too repetitive, a new section came in to break up any monotony. It really helped to keep me interested as I listened to the whole track.

I'm glad you picked up on the Tim Follin Inspiration.

The whole soundtrack sounds very pleasant overall. Hearing the different instruments fade in and out really keeps my attention throughout the track.

I like your choice of instruments and how they represent the different characters in your soundtrack. I feel the personalities coming through the different timbre choices.

This is definitely one of the most complex soundtracks I've heard so far this jam. It is really fun to listen to, but I personally wish that some of the tracks were a bit more simplified. For example, the track for Lucy, the gentle and kind woman has a really nice A section. But during the B section it sounds very chaotic, which seems to me like the opposite of gentle and kind.

I think the overall sound of the album sounds pretty good. Really great use of different instruments and it's all really mixed well.

I personally wish that there were some sort of jingle at the very beginning of the third track to signify that you completed the level. But maybe that's not the type of puzzle game you envisioned making so I won't make much of it.

I like the variety between the different tracks.

I do have a criticism of the track "Let's make this one count" however. It sounds like there are a few points in the song where you have different voices clashing with each other, and It sounds dissonant. For example, there is a point in the song where the guitar is playing the chords C#minor -> C minor -> B minor. But during the C minor chord, the piano is playing an E natural instead of an Eb. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but I hear it as if the piano played a wrong note. I personally would double check all of the notes in the track to make sure that there aren't any weird clashes like that, and I think doing this would make that track sound much better.

Thank you for the feedback. I was wondering what aspects of the mixing you wished were better. Just wondering for my own improvement.

I think both tracks sound pleasant overall. One criticism I have though is there doesn't seem to be much diversity in the mood between tracks. For the second track specifically, I was expecting to hear much more tension since it is the track that plays as you approach the final boss. However, it sounded very calm overall much like the main theme does.

All 3 tracks have a really great sense of groove to them. I liked listening to the percussion writing and how you put in all the fills to add detail and motion to the music.

I used Monkey Target from SMB1 to get some ideas.

You got both references right. I'm impressed

I really like the tracks, but I don't see any screenshots of your DAW. I would double check the submission rules here if I were you: https://ostcompjam.alonerabbit.com/how-to-submit . Maybe if you upload the images of your DAW in the comments section, that might be fine, but I'm not running this event, so I can't say for sure
