Yeah it was supposed to last only for a couple of spider rounds before screen is fully filled. Didn't get time to implement proper mechanics that would let you manipulate the board :/

Thanks for playing though! I appreciate you liking how art and sound tied together

Thanks a bunch for playing!
You probably kept dying because you didn't fill the bar at the bottom of the timer. It was meant to be there because world moves when you do so you could just camp and not spawn extra animals without it.

Achievement is really barebones implementation. You get it when you surpass your previous score in a new run. Glad you liked how sound tied, I wasn't the most confident about that part.

That's a nice profile pic btw

Yeah! Honestly it was a terrible idea to create this game without interactive tutorial. Which was supposed to be there LOL

Thanks for playing I appreciate you giving it a try!

Thanks! 100% next time I am making something easier to explain how to play haha

WOW Thanks! You actually played a good amount to get that score :O

Thank you for playing and finding it fun!

OMG sorry. You weren't supposed to press enter... enter resets the game. That was dumb of me to write without context LOL
And I didn't even have visual clue that it reset.

You just have to move and play for 15 seconds and then spider would spawn automatically on top.

Sorry, I hope you give it a try again. But regardless thank you for trying it out!

Thanks for playing!
Yeah I didn't really do a good job explaining the concept of the game :/ I updated description with better how to play than tutorial so maybe that would help if you want to try one more time.

It was supposed to be cobweb but well pizza works too haha

That was a bug that happened to me once or twice. I hoped it wouldn't happen when other people are playing.

I might try and fix it after the jam. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you like the style!

Thanks for playing and I'm glad you liked it!

Yeah it was definitely a challenge to implement everything. There wasn't even supposed to be score but bunch of achievement style quests you where supposed to do and once you do all of them you win. Let's both do the better planning next time haha

Smart! Will do haha

I totally get you! Planning jams is hard I didn't even get half the stuff I wanted to implement in mine either xd

Yeah didn't really have time for proper tutorial :s

Basically blocks spawn each 4 steps when you are human and you have to doge them. There is 15 second timer after which human dies and you summon spider. Spider eats animals, but after it eats first animal it turns into it's that color and if you eat another color you die. Human corpse resets color to neutral.  And once you eat first animal you can't step on empty block anymore. When spider dies it leaves cobweb that can't be interacted with and you become human again.

Basically that's it but definitely could have explained it better ingame. Thanks for trying it out though!

Man I had so much fun with 3match game! I really wish the space ship part was something different or faster to beat I like shmpus but not that space invaders style and there is just too many enemies. But the loop of collecting scrap, filling the machine and then having to 3match it was fun as heck!

I think the game could benefited a lot from some tweening after certain actions. Had fun playing 3 match section tho.

That thumbnail immediately grabbed my attention btw

Fun game! I like how you mentioned get to wave 10 to beat the game so I had that as a goal.Obv gameplay isn't unique, but for what it's trying to be I think you did a very good job! I liked the graphics and how many upgrades it had.
Oh btw it lagged a bit on every wave when I killed the first enemy. Do you maybe know why that is happening?

This is amazing! I love the atmosphere and that teleport effect is frickin' awesome!

It was such a blast to play!

Dispatch with animals! Really cool game, I love the end screen how it tells how good each animal did.

Cool graphics, fun gameplay! It started off easy but that last level is a pain. Love how the game play though!

Cool art, cool vibe! And length was just enough for a jam game, I enjoyed playing through it!

I really love the graphics and atmosphere! Such a cool cozy aesthetics. Is the fishing only minigame that's inside?

A bit laggy in browser but not a big deal. It gives me big short hike vibes and I would really like to play it again if it ever becomes full short polished game. Great job!

Graphic is charming, and wow music is a vibe. It was really confusing to figure out what I need to do but having the checklist on the side was great to focus me, and saving the turtles was the one I was like what I need to know.
I didn't get all the checklist items done since it got a little bit repetitive but what little I played was cool experience.

Thanks! My main concern is that it would be too hard to figure out how to play. Didn't have time to make proper interactive tutorial like I wanted. But well, live and learn.

Thanks for playing!

Thanks! My main concern is that it would be too complicated to understand.

I'm glad you figured it out, and thanks for playing!

Thanks, yeah I got really comfortable in godot thanks to it

Wish I started earlier on it, you where supposed to be able to push animals around to setup big chains and more control over the board... but lesson learned for planning next time.

Thanks for playing!

Ok after finishing it first time and adjusting difficulty to hardest it's really good challenge haha

Game is really good and cute. But it's too easy! I feel it should ramp up more expnentially. I sell the box for 2k and rent is only in the  200's. No challenge to keep me wanting to play more even though gameplay is extremely fun and I want to!

Yeah these demos usually last for that amount of time I am aware. I just end up being a madman and try to max most of them out lol

But seriously the clankers spawning not spawning sometimes at the beginning is the biggest thing and I am glad that is being fixed. I suspect this isn't the problem in the main game after a while. Excited to see how it develops!

Tbh the weapon mechanic is really intriguing makes me want to play and unlock more

WOW only 4 weeks is great for what you have! I hope I got my game to your level in 4 weeks lol

Solid ending, but lacks two things in my opinion

1. clear ending to the demo. Something that says you beat the demo and to wishlist. Also would be good to have end goal in final game too, most incrementals have it.

2.  steam wishlist link in description preferably at the top lol

solid game tho!

Game has lots of potential, but I just find it unfun to play after a while(about 20-30m)
Main thing demotivating me from playing is sometimes only 1 or 2 clankers spawn, sometimes even 0. What makes keep on mining (which seems to be inspo for this) fun to play is that you always have a lot of rocks to mine in a round.
Skill tree could also be more clear, it's kinda pain to navigate. And I wish we got some weapon slot upgrades since weapons are a main draw of the game.

But overall I think game looks visually great, and gameplay with weapons is fun but spawn irregularities really kill the fun of it.

Can you make it so it doesn't pause when switching tabs or window in the browser?

This works! But also one more thing I think would help a lot with early game is tier 1 prestige upgrade that gives speed to dwarves. Maybe 10%/20%/30%. As I find low dwarf speed in the beginning being the most annoying part and it actively makes me not want to press the button :(
Prestige upgrade for less break time of dwarves would be cool too.

Alternatively maybe (idk if it exists) late game ability... mby artifact like work or something that lets you suck all the gems from the map each 5-10min or something.
Cool game overall man, I think you have a gem!

Maybe with ability to drag the ore ourselves it should make it much more enjoyable. It's reaaaalllllly slooooow right now

I really like the game and graphics it reminds me of dominion but kinda more fun.
I think it can blow up if you ever release it to steam! But idk if it's just me or only viable strategy is action cards with some payoff.

I would really love if there are different ways to find the game like scaling resources infinitely or similar. Mby adding artifacts or easier ways to remove cards (even if in game) or upgrading cards.

It's a great game and I'm enjoying playing it, but I feel like it has a chance to be really popular if there is more strategies to win

This game is really fun and has a lot of potential!

Short and s weet. Love it!

This is really fun game! Love the interactions.

You played for 2 hours :O ?!
I'm flattered, that's a long time for someone to play a gamejam game.
Good job on the score, thanks for sharing it!

Wow nice! Yeah cosmic guy turned out to be a bit op but really fun for big scores haha
