About the grinding... I timed the game and felt it was too likely a player could finish it in under 15 minutes, so I padded it out with random encounters. I've since heard the judges aren't quite so stingy. I did originally have an encounter rate that wasn't so brutal and I felt made the "BS encounter rate" joke without overstaying its welcome. I probably should have just gone with that. It was only like a 2 minute  or so difference, but it's crazy how aggravation/tedium can warp one's sense of time!

I think you're the second person to think of the subtitle as code XD It's just a crazy JRPG subtitle with their random punctuation they like to do (IE Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days).

Heya! Watched the video and... "not the type of game to win a contest?" Whaddaya mean!? No, I'm kidding. I'm one of the dev's who has an idea of what it would take to actually win this thing (especially with 1k on the line) and immediately decided, "Yeah, I'm not gonna get that crazy with it." I could only see this winning if somehow several judges had the judging style of Homer Simpson. I'm more than happy just to see the humor landing with people.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Downloaded again today and still won't open; stuck on white screen. Tried closing all open programs.

I mean it's literally just a white box so there's nothing to look at.

Just to check, I'm not supposed to make a new project and replace the exe with this one, am I? There were no installation instructions.

Off topic, I also wanted to suggest changing the name. For some reason this game doesn't come up when I search itch.io. Also, there's already an RM game called "Echoes of Aetheria" on Steam made by one of the biggest RM dev's.

Game opens with a white screen and doesn't run for me, sorry. Maybe don't package it as an exe? Windows Defender thinks it's a virus, but a default export of RM games won't trigger it.
